What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
I have been almost exclusively PvE in GW1 but I have enjoyed WvW in the GW2 beta and can see spending an equal, if not greater, part of my time with that. I am definitely a casual player and will probably average around 4-8 hours a week. I do plan on working a lot on crafting. The systematic searching for the right combination of materials, sans wiki, will definitely feed my neurosis.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
I have played GW1 since around about the end of 2005. I am a cheap bastard and cannot justify a monthly subscription for the amount of time I have to game and thus denied myself most of the MMO world.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I was in a guild for about 6 months but it was a bit too regimented and the time commitment they were looking for did not fit my lifestyle. I felt obliterated to be online more than I wanted and the birth of the second boy put an end to the inner turmoil. It was a good group of guys and had some fun times.
How did you hear about the Guild?
I watched the youtube video of your podcast.
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I am not particularly chatty but am considered funny by friends who say I have an affinity, double points for occurrences in this effort, for funny one liners. I am very helpful and would never disparage women or bundles of wood, obscure reference?, as others before me have done in this process. If’n gramer adn gud spelin is a prerequisite, I am done for without spell check.
Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
The magic eight ball says Ask again later. If'n I fit with your community and visa versa it is entirely possible. I can tell you I only plan on belonging to one Guild. "Edited out the quotes do to formatting". Funny how I used them again right there right?
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
I enjoyed the humor and banter of your podcast and believe I would fit in well if the limited in game time is not an issue. I am not hardcore but am reliable and looking for some like minded gamers who are out to have a balance between fun and competitivenesslyism.
