Dammit, my work laptop went down yesterday (got stuck in a boot loop) so I had to get tech support to come out, pick it up, and deliver me a temporary one so I can get my shit done while they're fixing my other one. The shitty thing is that I not only have to download and reinstall all of the programs that I need, but I have to bug people for the settings and network locations for the program configurations. Then when my laptop gets back to me I get to do that all over again - YAY! ... f*ck.
 
You know you can type SUCKS in a title, right? XD

But yeah, that shit sucks. I love how my company sends computers fully installed and configured for company use.
 
Haha, yeah, but spelling it out is more fun.

They will install software for people that don't have install rights, but being a programmer we have full admin rights on our computers. Plus I can get it done faster than they can, so it's a trade-off b'n being a PITA and getting the train back in the air (yes I said that).
 
Thought the title was in Spanish.

My company is the same way though, but on top of that I need to submit tickets to get access to install the software OR I need to have them install it for me. It's a big hassle not having admin rights on my machine when I want to install something as simple as notepad++ or winscp.
