GW2 Guild Wars 1 for Hall of Monuments - Any Takers?

Would anyone be interested in pushing through all of Guild Wars 1 to get the 30 Hall of Monument achievements for Guild Wars 2 with me. We could stream it and then have some cool prizes for our characters when the game is released.

Maybe even pick up some back story on the way. But goal is to do it QUICK.

You could get a lot of this done in a concerted push - it'll take a bit of time and effort to get to 30 - but you can get a lot of points pretty fast by burning through the campaigns and the easy challenge missions. Time differences would limit me helping, but I'm up for it if the time is right.
 
I'll provide as much help as I can, although I can't guarantee I can get anyone 30 points between now and then. Add "Einder Kincaid" to your friends list if you decide to buy it.

The Platinum Edition, with Prophecies and Eye of the North, is the cheapest path to the HoM ($25 on Amazon), but it will cut off your access to most avenues for acquiring points. Buying the Trilogy (all three campaigns) and getting Eye of the North separately will cost about fifty dollars. Just be sure you don't buy a Pre-Release Bonus Pack by mistake.
 
I only have 8 or so points, and I would love to get to 30, but it just seems so overwhelming that I don't know where to start.
 
It's expensive (in-game currency-wise) and time-consuming. The official wiki and Rubi Bayer at Massively have some guides you may find useful.

Bear in mind that you can always continue to earn points after Guild Wars 2 is released, although I'm sure that would be a much lower priority by then.
 
I just hit 30/50 in the HoM today....and i was 16/50 on july 30th

also...i just went through all of Nightfall on Hard Mode in one single night of gaming, about 8 hours....so normal modes would be even faster...it is definitely doable if you start before the 10th...and game at least 8 hours a day....any later and you would be rushing to get done
 
Hey guys just putting it out there, I am more then happy to help anyone going for 30/50. I have 45/50 myself, was going to go for 50 but have sorta given up, this could motivate me to get back at it. If you are interested let me know I have 14 lvl 20's and almost 7000 hours played, I love GW1 and I love helping people.

I would love help if you are willing. I have a 20 warrior that I plan to use, but I only have 8/50 so far... I never got into the HoM collecting back when I played, so I'm pretty far behind.

that and it takes ages to farm them

your essentially farming 1 million plat worth of keys

the 5k balthazaar faction per key takes for ever too
