GW2 Guild Wars 2 Gangnam Style

Am I the only one who is bothered by this because it defeats the whole purpose of that song? That song is made by the guy doing stupid dance. These characters are doign teh lofamdaoada dance. Not as cool :(
 
I just take what I can get. Maybe ArenaNet will secretly incorporate the gangnam style dance, I did get this from their Facebook. . I really want to film something like this but with a whole entourage dancing. Would be hilarious. :D

I dunno I am just always amazed at the world for flcoking to the movies not for their quality but because they have the "action" movements. (digital zooms, mtv music video style)

It just bugs me that we have such a low baseline to appeal to. But hey that may just be because I am in that industry and it is frustrating when something with TRUE meaning gets 0 views compared to transformers... so maybe I will just stfu and enjoy the flashy dances to the fun happy song, with the generic zooms and cants.

Not to shit on a parade here haha.

Naw, its not just you. I can agree with that. Don't get me wrong I love some good explosions n action but everything these days is very lacking in creativity.
 
Ahhh I see. Perhaps there's a quote for this but in my own words only an artist can appreciate good art and as a consumer (not speaking for all) we just want to have a good (even if mediocre) time to spend away from our lives and may not invest the thought into the product. As they say with good marketing you can pretty much sell anything. As for films, there are "artists" that may strive for a grand art piece but will be only appreciated by the few and there'll be the "artists" who are adept at box office topplers.

Take the film The Hunger Games for example, I personally thought the movie was a high budget terror (coming from me who usually don't judge/criticize many things) yet it had an astonishing revenue.

I think someone pointed out that most famous artists are famous after death.

Once again back to the clip, it's no masterpiece but it's entertaining in that it's "new" and something you can simply enjoy for the moment.

And yeah, us consumers only see the industry from the outside.

Edit: Oh personally I would even attribute this to the MMORPG industry post-WoW. People still play, but it doesn't mean the games are very good. Then come along GW2 which may not even garner that much attention in a few months but it's a piece of art that I would remember.
