For those that don't know woot.com, HERE YOU GO! Woot, even though it is now owned by amazon, used to be one of the most awesome sites for grabbing a daily deal on a geeky item. Nowadays it's a bit more... Mainstreamed, but it still has good deals every now and again.

Also, I'm looking for some insight on these. I've had eye strain from gaming for years and wonder if any guildies have been using Gunnars to relieve their eye stress.
 
I have a pair. They are indeed helpful to relieve eye stress, with their very slight magnification and tint, imo. The ones I have are a bit flimsy on the build-quality side, which is a plus and a minus. They're very light to wear, but the earpieces have slipped off a couple times (easily fixable). Looking at the ones listed there, it seems they've corrected that, and they look a bit more solidly built.

My only real complaint with them is that I get a slight reflection of my own eyes when wearing them. You tune it out eventually and get used to it, but it's a little distracting at first. They also scratch easily pretty like sunglasses do, they're not as protected as real glasses are, so keep them protected when not in use.

It's a good deal, I'm tempted to get a pair for work.
 
I picked up a pair of the JEM ones, bronze, since they were cheapest. :) Thanks for the heads-up.

I grabbed a pair of JEM's and a pair of Talon's. I figured to buy 2 sets to try, use one for work one for home. Being on a computer 16 hours a day is really hurting haha
 
They've been around for quite a while. I've been tempted for a couple years, but some of the price tags were redic. On sale, grabbed 2 pairs for 70, including shipping. I'm okay with that.
 
Just ordered a pair of Talons. I never considered the harmful effects long gaming sessions can have on my eyes. Hopefully these help me avoid any long term problems. And at a deal like this, seems like the right time to buy. Thanks for the heads up!
