I like GOOOOOLLLLD!
So this is the new fad/meme/youtube thing. If you haven't seen it be thankful. This here is the best one out there and exactly how I feel about it

 
Its kinda like, just go bat shit crazy and let yourself go, which is great, but fuck do we really need another internet craze.

 
This one gets pretty NSFW in the middle because they show the vid that got a boys high school hockey team in trouble, but otherwise its ok. So ya some kids had to forfeit the first playoff hockey game and may get suspended for doing the harlem shake in school and being kinda over the line in decency.

 
Ok so a lot of these arent too funny as is the general idea, but I love this one.

OH MY GOD! This is such a non issue. Everyone on the plane did nothing wrong. The seatbelt sign was off so they were free to move around. That means no turbulence anywhere near so no real fear of throwing someone around that is out of their seat.

Btw Tr1age electronics are allowed to be used while in cruise. Only during takeoff and landing are they supposed to be shut down since those are the most critical parts of the flight and they don't want any chance of interference.

And if anyone cares the whole electronics thing is pretty bogus when dealing with Boeing planes. They do everything by cables and wired electronics and hydraulics. Airbus on the other hand do have lots of electronics that have a remote chance of error-ing out if there is other electronics using the same frequency. Things like a mp3 player that does not talk to any other electronic device? Will never bring down a plane and the FAA is working on revised rules for those types of devices to be allowed to be used all the time.

Oh, I am back to not liking the harlem shake vids. Give me a week and I will prob think they are funny again.

Mythbusters also debunked the shit out of that stupid regulation. Anyway MOAR Harlem Shake lol.
 
Off-topic speculation:

Maybe 10-20 years ago things may not have been so secure with electronics, but I'll bet they keep the rule for an easy excuse that people won't argue about. The fact of the matter is that in the event of some accident occurring during landing or take-off its better to have an attentive cabin of passengers sitting upright without devices in their hand. Also, they can avoid people saying that a rough landing caused them to drop and break their expensive laptop.
