[Jun 15, 2013] Weekly F2P Saturday Gaming! Blacklight... (Blacklight Retribution / Mumble)

I wanted to start hosting some weekly events on either Saturday or Sunday so that we all have a game to play TOGETHER over the course of a day. We've all been hopping around and joining in these small little games, but I want a BIG get together that all of us can enjoy!

This week, Blacklight Retribution. It's a F2P shooter (available on Steam) that many of us have experience in and is pretty easy to pick up and go. I will promise to be online by 10AM EST and plan on being on mumble and BL:R As much as possible all day! I want others to join me!

It'll be a great way for us to get together and know each other! TIME TO SHOOT STUFF!

Only two rules.
1. Download the game ahead of time
2. Participate on mumble.
 
I'm not going to play because I don't do shooters but I'll hang out on Mumble with you all and listen to you shooting folks.

That's fine too actually haha. We have people do this in the past. 9/10 times, they do end up downloading it. Plus. if we have enough people, we can literally just take over lobbies with just [TAB] peoples.
 
You wouldn't want me to play, I'm pretty sure. I guess it would be comic relief if nothing else.

These are events for all skill levels :) If you can move WASD and left click, I suggest downloading it for shits and giggles :p

Since when does blacklight make you use that malware pando to download... I don't remember that from last time. I do specifically remember avoiding downloading LoL for that reason. There was a thread full of people who couldn't remove the pando peer2peer software after the fact. Some guy figured out it was hiding itself and there was some drawn out process he used to get rid of it.

I woke up at 3 am because I dreamed I was mauled by a bear. Guess I'll start downloading.

EDIT: Oh look, there's even a character just for Tristan: "She currently has a secondary skin, Battle Triage, which is available through Chance Packs only."
 
So I played a couple of practice rounds, and holy shit - the bot AI is ridiculous. They'll just press themselves against a wall and unload an entire clip into it, imagining that they can hit whatever's on the other side of it. No moving. Just shooting. They never stop shooting.

lol, the AI is pretty bad. But we'll be playing against eachother, not the AI :)
