What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
My goal in every MMO I play is to consume every last inch of content. I love crafting. I love exploring. I love defeating every encounter. And I enjoy PvP. The role I wish to play in this guild would be to help like-minded individuals accomplish the same. I'm an attorney, my hours can be hit or miss, but I intend to spend the vast majority of my free time enjoying this game. My wife will be a little bit more casual, especially as she recovers from her recent car accident and likely hip surgery, which is why I'm simply including her in this application as she has trouble sitting right now. She is quite capable of talking on ventrillo if need be. We are expecting a surgery to take place in the near future, which may or may not impact her availability for launch.

Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
EQ1 from launch through PoP, guild was Awaken. Shadowbane for a few months in the Brotherhood of Shadows until the lag chased me off for good. Everquest 2 from friends and family beta through a few months after launch, then left in frustration. Came back on and off over the years as they actually fixed the game and made it really good. Guilds were Fallen Legacy (launch) and Tales of Norrath. Vanguard from early beta through a few months after launch eventually leaving due to the game just being too broken. My guild was Voodoo. World of Warcraft for a few years on and off. Was in The Legends around launch, but when I came back later stayed unguilded and introduced my girlfriend (now my wife) to MMO gaming. She later cut her teeth raiding when we returned to EQ2. I tinkered with Age of Conan and Rift for a month each at launch, Conan's end game was completely borked, and Rift lacked the class individuality I greatly enjoy. Most recently the wife and I were in Sith Weapons and Tactics in SWToR before becoming bored after clearing the same broken raid content for the hundredth time and seemingly doing all the game offered.

Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I lumped some of this question in above. Overall, I love being in guilds. EQ1 was the best despite an insane amount of drama. The comraderie in that game led to friends I still talk to a decade later though most are done with MMOs. EQ2 was great fun because you actually had to level your guild up and accomplish things to do so, it sounds like GW2 "borrowed" EQ2's guild system to a degree. Too bad they didn't take the housing as well, EQ2 did that flawlessly. Anyway, working together as a team to advance the guild is always fun. The only part I dislike about guilds can be the negative drama. If it gets too bad, I walk away. As for Aamana, everyone always loves her. She's talkative and friendly, and hasn't really seen a negative guild experience as of yet. Hopefully that will continue.

How did you hear about the Guild?
I was researching about the game and stumbled across your initial video. I watched 2+ hours of four random guys talking, and then made my wife watch it with me the next day again because I enjoyed it, and thought she might as well. She did, thinking you guys are hilarious.

What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I would compare my personality pretty strongly to Bruce via the first podcast. I approach MMOs pretty much exactly how he stated he does, and I love crafting first and foremost. I tend to have every crafter of max levels in most games. I enjoy doing all the content in these games, including any achievements/pet collections/etc... And I enjoy helping others with any knowledge I've gained. I also greatly enjoy theory crafting for min-maxing as well as trying to establish peek efficiency for PvP success. In MMO's, I am extremely competitive and I want to be the best I can be. I'm not the most patient person in the world, but as long as progress is being made at least a little, I'm happy. I have no tolerance for whiners, complainers, or anyone that prevents myself from enjoying the content in the game. I have no problem taking the lead if something needs to be done or a PUG needs to be formed. Whatever needs doing, I do it. As for my wife, she's a morale booster. Everyone always likes talking to her in ventrillo. She's a pretty solid gamer as well, though she's not as big on pvp as she is on pve.

Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
Yes

Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
We are app'ing to this guild because of the four guys in the video, especially Tristan. He cracked us up. We want more cussing, more "voices", more stories, etc... We could listen to that dude in vent all night. But the other three were pretty funny as well. And, as mentioned, I appreciated how Bruce approaches the game. I'm not entirely sure what Aamana's timeframe will be with her injury, and I'm actually trying to change my niche from Family Law to Personal Injury or Foreclosures, so my hours at a new firm might be tight as well. But, you listed yourself as a casual guild, so that gives us some much needed flexibility there. The last little bit of information is that we live in Jacksonville, FL, so we are east coast. I looked briefly, but must have missed the information about any set play hours or pvp/pve raiding times. I would say during the week we would be logging off between 11 and midnight, assuming we have to work the next morning, but we can pull marathons on the weekend if need be. I apologize if this was too long, but I wanted to be thorough. Thank you for your consideration.

We have not set these and probably never will. The game doesn't really work that way. Which is a good thing :)

HAve my vote +1 or +2 since it is two of you.

Excellent, that will make Aamana very happy. We have three kids, so having a flexible schedule really is nice. Thank you for the vote, and if possible, it would be for the both of us. By far the coolest thing ever is gaming with your wife/significant other side by side.
