I have been looking at starting a new build for awhile, and messing around with different parts, swapping them out. Then I got on here and I read Simpwn's post and that site is just awesome. If you guys could give me your opinion on what you thing of this build, I'd really appreciate it. I think I finally found what I was looking for, for my next build but seems how there is a forum page for this stuff. I thought I would get some of your expert opinions on it, before I went and bought everything.

AMD = Don't do it.

You will regret it. Intel is about 5 years ahead of AMD right now in terms of reliability and speed per dollar.

That case... Are you looking for a rocketship statement of noise and lights? If so perfect, if you want good air flow and reliability, that is probably not a good place to start. Plus DAMN they charge you a lot for Aesthetics.[DOUBLEPOST=1374689665,1374689641][/DOUBLEPOST]Other than that, I can't really recommend replacements before this:

What are you looking to get out of the system? Is that your max budget or is price flexible?

I'm wanting to stay around $1,000 and im alittle over as it is.

I dont know all that much about building a computer, this is my first build. My last custom computer(the one im using now) was built by a friend and everything was AMD, so I tried to match everything up so it would all be compatible.

As far as the Case I want a red/Black theme as the last one was blue/black. Yes, I am wanting to get good airflow out of this new build all round so everything stays way cooler. This last one tends to overheat sometimes. As for the noise, I would like to keep it to a minimum but in all reality it doesnt matter, cuz i got lots of noise at my house anywayz. In the overall essence of this build, I want great airflow and circulation to keep everything cooled down, a fast cpu for optimum speed and outstanding graphics.

If you guys could point in the right direction for this kinda stuff, I would appreciate it.

ok so please dont bash me to hard, cuz I really dont know what I'm doin here but, isnt the speed on the cpu i selected faster, than the one you choose and it has its alot less? Like i said I dont really know, so if you please explain the reasoning, that would be great.

*Edit

Also if you could select a not over priced halfway decent cpu cooler, if you think i need it, that would help alot.

While the numbers may look bigger, the i5 is a very good processor and I wanted to get you something that you could use today and for the near future. In order to get much better you will need to start spending more. Someone with more computer part knowledge than me might be able to explain it. Though I am pretty sure what I've picked out will be very good for what you need.

haha no they are much more expensive, and do the exact same job. But I would appreciate any expert opinion you have on the build itself as a whole, things to change and what not.

Ehhh... not exactly the same but yes much more expensive and if you are on a budget you don't really need an SSD. Unelss you get a smaller one just for programs and a regular drive for everything else.

You can also look up benchmarks of Intel vs AMD processors online as well. Just write the name of the processors into google with the word comparison or VS and it usually has a good feedback.

The real question is what you need the system for and what performance you want out of it. Gaming? 3d rendering? just email and internet? Video editing? Once you know the most you will do with it you can then decide on where you need to spend big bucks and where you can save the cash.

CPU speed doesn't always matter especially if you can get more cores. Ram speed and quantity will help you a million times more than cpu speed will. And Tr1age is right. Intel is making a way better product than AMD right now.[DOUBLEPOST=1374693421,1374693303][/DOUBLEPOST]SSDs are way faster than regular hard drives, but they are totally just bonus items if you don't have the cash for em. Save the money and put it into ram or video card if you are on a budget.

I prefer Intel over AMD when it comes to Processor i have tried both and maybe was just me but Intel was much better i have the i5 3570K ivy bridge which is just a little more then the one simpwn showed and works very well especially for over clocking. Also the Cooler he put on there works very well my core Temps almost never go over 30. You can also get a cheaper tower if you don't care about the looks of it and use the extra money for other upgrades

I am an ex-AMD fanboy and I concur, I can no longer defend AMD in any way really. The rig I use now was a budget build using Intel and it handles everything pretty well. When building a computer, keep in mind a lot of companies will throw big numbers at you to try to impress you. Generally if the product seems better and is much cheaper, they are gauging you somewhere in performance.

I just don't like there Processor i have the AMD Radeon HD 7850 graphics card ( yes i have AMD / wrist) and it works really well.

Oh I gotcha. Yeah, I'm all about Nvidia/Intel now. I can't fight the power anymore haha.
Right? Who in their right mind would buy an a series amd processor? Not me, and I happen to like my 965 black edition.
