Was talking with tristan the other day and I told him I would keep up to date on this. IT LOOKS LIKE THE NEW NVIDIA BETA DRIVERS HAS BEEN RELEASED! We have been promised not only a 20-70% increase (on 660+) but also BETTER LOOKING FXAA with a reduced performance hit! Dont have a keplar based 660 ti + ? Dont worry! This driver should increase FPS all the way down the line of nividia cards to the 2 series. While not the HUGE jump the keplar cards will see, you should see improvement!

The newNVIDIA GeForce 306.02 beta drivers are now available to download. Recommended for players of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Darksiders 2,Guild Wars 2, andMechWarrior Online, the GeForce 306.02 beta drivers add realisticambient occlusion shadowingto each of the listed games, in addition to adding NVIDIA Control Panel MSAA and CSAAanti-aliasingsupport to Darksiders 2.
SLI users will find a range of performance enhancing profiles for titles such as Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Darksiders 2, Orcs Must Die! 2, Planetside 2, Shogun 2: Total War, Sleeping Dogs, and The Secret World. SLI users will also be interested to know that profiles for Borderlands 2 and F1 2012 have been implemented ahead of their respective release dates. On the 3D Vision front we have new and updated profiles for A New Dawn, the yet-to-be-released, highly-anticipated Dishonored, End of Nations, The Secret World, and many more.

or, if you have nvidia control panel installed open it, move over to the top right, choose HELP, then updates from the drop down menu, make sure that 'include beta drivers' is clicked in the preferences tab, and hit update, they shuold pop up!

The rest of you need to use the nvidia tool on the website to make sure that you are getting the right drivers for your card/OS!

Alright! I'm salivating at the thought of how purdier Guild Wars 2 will look once I get my 670 later this week.

As soon as I get these drivers installed I will post up how to turn on the New AMBIENT OCCLUSION support for gw2. (This will be a manual option in your nvidia control panel) Think the game looks great now? Ambient occlusion will just add more depth of realism!

OK folks. Very easy to turn on your new Ambient Occlusion and mess with a ton of settings in gw2.

step 1. open nvidia control panel
step 2. click on 'manage 3d settings' in the left navigation pane
step 3. click the programs setting tab in the right hand pane, select guild wars 2 from the drop down menu
step 4. the very top setting. AMBIENT OCCLUSION - right click the setting and choose on/off/performance/quality
step 5. enjoy!

niiiiice ! thanks :) can't wait to get home and try this !

did it work Kys?
Worked perfectly ! spent the whole evening without a single crash :D although activating the ambient occlusion seem to have brought up some graphic glitches, I'll just turn it back off :)

For reference, I was having game crashes when a lot of people were around ingame, no error code, just a message saying game files were being corrupted, I have an EVGA Geforce 560 ... I think the issue may have been only for these cards, since I couldn't find much data about it online. This new driver fixed it ! so I'm happy

I did notice the AO is not perfect, they ARE beta drivers. I saw an increase in Lions arch from 55-80 to about 80-140

EVGA GTX 670ftw.

As I said, they promised a 20-70% increase on keplar GPU cards, which is 660ti and higher. We are still waiting on the NVIDIA FXAA (as opposed to gw2s FXAA) or even better, at some point the addition of TXAA. Now THAT will look great and run even better.
