Real Life [Oct 10, 2013] NYC COMIC CON (New York, NY)

So is anyone else planning to go to NYC Comic Con this October? This will be my first convention in general. I am going down there with a mutual friend of myself and Tr1age. Curious to see if anyone is around and planning to go.

In terms of logistics, I might have myself a condo with some decent floor space although I do live north of the city a good clip. I was considering staying in or near the city to cut down on train rides every day. Its a ways out so logistics can be ironed out soon.
 
I've only really done anime and gaming conventions... But I'm tempted to consider it. Let me know if there's any floor to crash on that weekend?
 
I would be so down for that. Never attended NY Comic Con, and it might be good timing for me to get some of my stuff from upstate. Just have to check how many vacation days I'll have left at that point and if work can swing it.

OMG, did T1G see that Felicia Day will be there?

I have a cousin in Jersey I can probably crash with, though if AltTabMe goes in on a house/cabin rental I'd be down for that. I just need my 'own room' to hibernate in when I feel anti-social. :p
 
I WANT TO GO! but I probably can't. Gonna start A&P school in the fall so a trip would be hard. Plus Therese would probably kill me if we didn't go anywhere this year (looking probable) and I up and took us to this.

I have met Felicia Day at blizzcon 08 with the whole cast of the guild when that was all she was really known for. It was even before Dr. Horrible's sing along blog. I still crush on her hard. So glad she has the youtube channel Geek and Sundry.

Me and Therese went to Phoenix Comic Con last year. It was cool. the kid from the walking dead was there. I would love to cosplay at one of those things. If you do a costume well enough its just walk 2 steps, then take 1 million pictures then walk 2 steps, etc.

A&P out here is a groceries store so I was quite confused for a moment :p
 
Airframe and Powerplant. Its the certificates to say you can work maintenance on airplanes and helicopters.

Also you can evidently have grocery bagger as a Major in college.
 
I'm definitely interested in this.. it's a quick ride on the subway so I have no excuse really haha. I may have crash space available (pending girlfriend) if a couple people need it but no garuntees since it's so far out. My dad does a lot of trade shows at Javits, I've been there a bunch. Nice big place.

Sad news. I'm going to have to sell my Saturday passes. Real life has interrupted the regularly scheduled broadcast. I have bought passes for Friday though if anyone is planning to go on Friday.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I have 4 day pass..so Ill be there Friday, Saturday definitely.

Sweet, we should definitely find a place to meet up. I'm super bummed about Sat, but it looks like single days passes are going for a decent chunk of change on stubhub. I'll get over it.

Cool, couple my friends are going Friday and Saturday too.
 
Probably not going to be able to go to this but since you guys will be in my neck of the woods I'd be down with hanging out if/when you aren't at the convention
