What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
I enjoy PvE and WvW most of all, probably about equally. The haunting, but breathtaking beauty of the PvE environments balances out perfectly the nonstop intensity of WvW. I would have to have more experience to judge the game's sPvP, but for now, i plan to just enjoy the openness that the game offers.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
The only MMO i've played before this was the first Guild wars, and i was never really serious about it. Over 6+ years of playing I only managed about 15 HoM points and a few hundred hours, many of them AFK.
As far as online games go, i've played numerous shooters including call of duty, battlefield, Team fortress 2, Tribes Ascend and counter strike. I've also dabbled in Online Minecraft, but i usually prefer to keep my creations to myself.
One of the few Online games that i got really involved with was one called "Realm of the Mad God" or RotMG for short. RotMG had you leveling up and gaining equipment, but when you died, it was game over for good on that character. The initial rush of that dynamic hooked me at first, but I began to get tired of building myself up, only to be torn down in a frantic instant.
I Play quite a few single player games as well, mass effect, dragon age and metro 2033 are among them, but I also enjoy playing old PS2 and gamecube games that I used to love as a kid, such as kingdom hearts (1 and 2), the sly cooper games and the more recent zelda games.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
The only real guild experience I had was in Realm of the mad god. I rolled with a guild called "Eight-Bit Death", and we were a really close group. The body of the guild was made up of a few main members, with a few others popping in now and then, but we had a great time. Eight bit was the kind of guild where we could just leave teamspeak up for hours and chat while not even playing the game, I hope that that's what I find here.
How did you hear about the Guild?
I was searching for a guild on my server and found that Arcanix was a guild that seemed to already be well established, but at the same time, open to new ideas. I watched several of your streams and a few youtube videos and i've been lurking around the website of late.
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I tend to have a fairly dry sense of humor, but i'm a good listener, and if someone really needs something, i won't hesitate to help them out. I wouldn't consider myself exceptionally skilled, but i can handle myself in a dungeon or while just running around tyria.
Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
I, and a few of my IRL friends who are less invested in the game created a guild called "The Subtle Alliance of Mice and Men" or [SAMM]. But Arcanix will be my main guild.
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
I posted a thread on here about WvW, but Frankly, the most fun i had in GW2 was with a few of my friends who I met along the way. We spent almost the entirety of BWE2 running around the beautiful world of tyria, sleeping on random objects and jeering at dangerous creatures. I'm looking for a guild where I can just chill, but also a guild that will be ready to jump into an experience.
