Hello friends and fans of the GSO!
The Gamer Symphony Orchestra's spring concert will be on Saturday, May 3rd at 2pm in the Dekelboum Concert Hall of the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, College Park. We have an amazing program lined up, including new arrangements from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Mass Effect, Animal Crossing, and more! In addition, we will be replaying arrangements from Kingdom Hearts, Phoenix Wright, and Chrono Cross/Chrono Trigger! The concert will also feature a guest performance by the Magruder High School Gamer Symphony Orchestra!
As always, the concert is free and open to the general public. Doors will be opening at 1:30pm, and we advise attendees to arrive early, as our concerts have a tendency to be packed!
The Facebook event for our concert can be found here. Please invite your friends!
Additionally, we will be having a concert preview on Maryland Day (Saturday, April 26th) at 12:15pm, also in Dekelboum! Maryland Day is an annual open house for the campus that features many events throughout the day. We highly recommend attending, even if you do not see our concert preview!
In other news, the GSO's arrangement of "Korobeiniki" (Tetris), was recently featured on the new Video Games Live: Level 3 album! Since we first gave VGL the arrangement in 2011, it has been performed all over the world by many prestigious orchestras, and we are extremely proud to have the arrangement included on their album! The album is available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby!
Thank you all for your continued support! We hope to see you at the concert!
