What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
PvP is probably my main focus. There isn't much by the way of non-open world zerg PvE, but I'm generally an all rounder.

Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
I've mostly played WoW for years; at times hardcore raider (world 50ish Yogg 0), but most of the time floating mid-level. I played Rift for a few months, cleared all the launch and first patch content, but didn't particularly care for some of their game design decisions (one button macro spam DPS, and brainless AoE spam healing) so that didn't stick. Other than flailing around in LoL and DotA 2 occasionally, I haven't played much else to note.

Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
Well, my WoW guild progress was a bit odd. I guess the notable parts were that I randomly decided to level a priest, randomly made pals with a guy levelling a warrior, ended up levelling to 80 together and, ended up in his main guild; Phoenix. He was an officer, and I basically got dragged into raiding, ended up being part of their main team and essentially went from casual clown to pretty hardcore progression raiding unintentionally in a short period of time. Phoenix was odd to me, but a lot of that could have been to do with how I ended up there, feeling like I was completely out of my league and scared everyone thought I was a scrub. After ToC came out I moved to the UK for a couple years and ended up re-rolling on the EU realms.

In the EU I made friends in a casual guild from which we splintered off from (lil' bit of weird jealousy drama involved. It was a pretty dumb situation, really.) and went about our way in 10m raiding. We stuck together for the end of WotLK and into Cata, which bored the guild apart and we split shortly after launch. We reformed for the tail end of Firelands and the initial couple weeks of Dragon Soul, but the content was pretty poor and we ended up disbanding again. We're still in touch, but I've moved back home, so we're 9 hours and about 2-300 ping apart, so I don't get to do much with those guys anymore.

I then ended up writing a book about these experiences when applying to a GW2 guild. Apologies.

How did you hear about the Guild?
Through tr1age's stream.

What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I'm not sure. Generally I'm pretty quiet, but that can change depending on how I end up fitting in with people.

Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
I'm currently in Awakened, Kripparrian's guild, simply because I didn't really expect that I'd get much out of GW2 and thought a zergy, big guild could be fun for the time that I'm playing. Turns out I like the game more, so now I'm looking around for somewhere that's more suited to the goals that I have in the game. I'm fine with leaving AWKN anytime, I don't know anyone here.

Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
Sorry if I have droned on a bit too much, I'm never quite sure where the sweet spot is when writing a guild app. Hopefully it's not too bad.

Anyhoo, thanks for reading this and giving my application your consideration. I wish you guys the best of luck with the guild in the future, regardless of the outcome of this application.

I'm kinda on the fence as well. Like... 49.9/50.1 leaning on no. The only thing I thought when I stopped reading was "Who is Kripparrian"?
