Wrap Up Zombie Apocalypse RP FEEDBACK before next chapter.

So we have almost concluded our first Chapter of the Zombie Apocaplypse RP. I would love to hear some feedback. Things I could do to make it more fun for you, things I could do less of, etc etc.

Before answering these please take this into consideration: This first chapter was very specific as to a desired outcome. The rest of the missions will have less of a NEED to have a specific ending. Normally I wouldn't throw a boss battle into the first two seconds of a fight, but it was important to get you all out of your characters inner monologues. What I would love to see for my own purposes in using the (( )) a little more in situations where your story is driven heavily by your back story so I understand the reaction better where it may not be obviously apparent.

I have found that the choose your own adventure clues were useful in certain situations: did you find these too much info or did you like them?

Do you guys like the idea of having boss battles say every other chapter? I think it is kinda cool to mix that in.

The normal zombies, we have to meet them eventually: Of course I can make them run or walk just curious as to your thoughts on that.

Did you feel you had control over your character?

Did you feel like you were given enough choices?

Hm. I do have back-story planned for my character but I don't want to spill it 'till later. x.x I be trying to explain his thought processes as he goes along though. :3

On one hand they are a bit limiting (not so much as to be a problem), but they definitely help the story progress and therefore I like. -brucethumbsup-

Definitely! They really help force everyone to work together as opposed to everyone doing their own thing. We just need to get to communicating more; during the first boss battle no one had even really met each other before so it was kinda messy. The forum format hinders communicative progress as well what with people logging on at different times; not sure if there's a way to help that. x.x

Hm I think it depends on how the zombies were created - any plans for that? In the story you mentioned bombs being dropped and such during the apocalypse, which makes it sound like the zombies were a product of that (and thus not a true zombie apocalypse but rather post-apocalyptic zombiefest) - maybe zombie-creating chemical warfare? Or were there zombies before?

Did you feel you had control over your character?

Yus. Only control thing I was unsure of was manipulating the environment to our benefit. Don't want to god-mode everything ("oh hey just the weapon I need! That's not deus ex machina at all!") but also there must be something. Definitely liked how the group was able to make bombs out of what little we had, that was cool. Did you intend for that? :p

Did you feel like you were given enough choices?

Well... all we have to go off of atm is the boss fight, and we couldn't really just run away from that. Would've been boring if we did and well realistically it probably would've massacred us. xD
 
I would have liked more dialogue, back and forth between the characters. Let them bounce off each other a little. With the all the action going on and asynchronous posting, makes it challenging, but I'd like to see more interaction and less everyone being their own island. The final battle in chpt 1 did a good job bringing us together.

I'm in favor of the mindless, shambling type zombies for the "regular" type. The runners maybe thrown in for flavor, but regular zombies shouldn't be too much of a threat unless it's a large group.

I liked having choices presented, but I would also like to be able to improvise if I want. So maybe a list suggestions more than a closed list of choices.

Agree I think we need to get a little more "exposition" involved in the major BG story moments then.

I think the choices will loosen up a bit as well they can always be ignored as an option I will make sure to include more of those options but be aware if I forget you can!

I think I will need to put a limit on the last time I talk till the next time I will talk no matter what. Like the Resistance game a 12 - 24 hour limit might be nice.
