I think this is pretty self explanatory, let us know what path you are planning on taking! I think this will help us gauge our assests/needs and maybe help a few people decide that are still unsure which they will choose. Take the poll and feel free to discuss what made you decide which path you would take after!

I'm leaning toward settler personally; I like the idea of being able to build crap. I hate running around, so this is perfect! Not to mention being able to build a bar. That's really what sold me.

I fucking love you already haha. Can we have a bro-mance? I too like the settler. I am social when it comes to games and it seems to be the place I will fit in the best, joining others for the occasional jumping puzzle and picking brains for lore, I always prefer story time to reading time.
 
Leaning toward Explorer myself, always loved jumping around in WoW getting into places not many others could.

I hope that its not just go here jump up there fight boss... I want to have minimal directions, actually have to use my eyes and brain to figure things out rather than having it handed to me.
 
Explorer for me! Jumping puzzles were probably the most entertaining part for me in GW2, so being able to have a focus on it for leveling/etc sounds amazerful.
 
Explorer. I always love finding those hidden spots or getting to places you shouldn't be, etc
 
Scientist for me. I'm a total lore whore that reads all the flavor text and refuses to skip the cutscenes during dungeons.

My first alt will probly be a settler, since I hold that a close 2nd in my opinion.

PS- I almost made a thread about this last night, but then didn't. Now I'm glad cuz yours have much more awesome than mine would have. I won't get between you and Tristan, but maybe sometimes when you're with him, you could think of me? *ponydee:
 
I'll most likely end up going soldier. The huge holdouts and tough solo boss fights seem fun to me. But I definitely want to give them all a try. I'd actually probably do Scientist as my primary path, but pretty much all my RL friends who will be playing the game are going Scientist, so I'm sure I'll be able to see plenty of that content.

Plus, Soldier seems like it will be a rare path and I like the idea of be the guy my friends (and guildies) come to to provide them with holdouts and Soldier bosses after they open up the secret cave or solve the Scientist puzzle. :p

Yeah, crossing paths sounds awesome, and I think will add a lot of value to leveling as a group.

I'm leaning heavily towards scientist, but damn... they all sound good. I'll probably alt a settler early if I see it's not oversaturated.
 
I'm sure I'll end up going Soldier.. given how combat looks in this game, I imagine I'll just want to go and find things to fight with.

And tr1age.. guild bar + drinking night on mumble.. I smell an AltTabMe Icebreaker..

I'm all about the explorer right now. I like going off and finding stuff. Soldier doesn't look fun for me, scientist is looking like it will sidetrack to much for me. Settler looks like a good second choice since you can set up lots of perks for others.

The jumping puzzles and tunnels for fast travel are just too good for me to pass up.
