I've said it publicly a lot, I really don't understand the appeal of the Draken. I don't find goat people interesting at all. They just seem like brainless frenzy attackers, and that's boring to me. Having a Draken Scientist just seems wrong.

Goats get a bad rap cause their eyes are weird. Also... sometimes you just gotta have a frenzy (for science!).

Yeah this is an immerion thing I like... even if it's a pain in the ass.

A lot of people didn't get the appeal of the Charr, either. That didn't stop me (and a few other peeps in the guild...) from playing one and loving it. The Draken are the most ferocious, tribal, primal race and I love that vibe.

Also I don't understand how they read as goat people.... to me they are pretty much a unique beast/cat/antelope hybrid to me. A savanna hunter. I love that Carbine didn't just make 'cat people' or 'goat people' or 'dragon people' but instead made something that blended a lot of different animalistic qualities into something that really fits into the lore and environment.

That's one of the main things I hate about the Aurin... they look like humans with purple hair, tails attached and wearing a headband with ears. It doesn't feel like it all fits together, they don't seem like something that actually evolved.... it's like a bunch of exile humans decided to cosplay as playboy bunnies.

See, I actually did see the charm of the Charr. Gyoin Flamebeard was a white charr from day 1. It wasn't really the aesthetics, but the technological side of things that sold me (Black Citadel first and foremost). Mix that with all the guns and machinery, loved it. Asuran were too "futuristic" on the technological side of things.

If anything, It'd be Granoks/Mechari/double <Redacted> that are closer to that than the Aurin and Draken.

I kinda agree. Draken and Aurin are the two races that seem the most out of place to me. Granok are saved by their mercenary retcon Mechari fit obviously. Humans are humans. And then the REDACTED, we will see how they are presented on Friday.

As I noted... I didn't really go Charr for the technological factor... I went Charr for the badass tribal/warband/raid party feeling. Also fangs. Draken are the only race that give *that* vibe.
