GW2 So, has anyone changed their profession after BWE?

Changing your choice on release... AGAIN?

I started with an adamant : 'Charr Thief'

After playing various specs and professions over BWE I am 100% now going :

Asura - Necromancer (Named Puffin if its not taken)
I can blend in with my minions, mwuhahaha.
 
I put no because I will remain as Engineer as my main, but I still can't fully discount the idea of rolling Necro as my main.

BLOODY HELL IM FUCKING CONFUSED!
 
Yes and no.. Im still going to lvl up a human necro BUT i now want a human mesmer too.. its sucha hard choice, Im probably going to make them be sisters.. so they will have the last name :p

also i love the engineer but that can wait. It will be norn :)
 
i came close to switching....i was gonna roll ele or guardian....but im staying thief, i have faith in Anet to make the thief more fun
 
I had a blast with the Engineer so I'm going to stay with it for my main. Just hours before the end of beta, I learned a hilarious new way to kill people,... running away, dropping bombs on the ground. I don't know why, but almost every melee in WvW that took up the chase kept on it until they were bombed to smithereens!

It's a bit complicated for me... I went in thinking Charr Ranger. Played a Charr warrior, really liked it. Played a Norn Ranger, it was a lot of fun, I thought I'd be going Charr warrior or Norn Ranger. Then I played an awesome looking Sylvari thief and convinced myself to main that on saturday night. Sunday I played more of my ranger and I actually do think I'm sticking with Charr Ranger afterall but I will have alts and they will be played. This game is amazing(For anyone that heard me talking bad about it in mumble, just read amazing as horrible and move along).

Edit: Mostly why I strayed from maining the thief was because they're not as fun in PvE, pretty damn squishy. Maybe I'll level it as an alt in WvW and just have good times with it though.
 
After BWE2 I found that Ranger fit my playstyle best followed closely by guardian. I am still going Ranger, but changed my race to asura.

i think my 2nd character will be a sylvari Ranger....typical i know haha
 
As long as arenanet doesn't nerf the warrior burst into the ground and make him more of an underpowered guardian... I will still be an Asura warrior!
 
I had fun playing the Mesmer, especially with the great sword. But to be honest, I completely suck with a Mesmer. Haha. Rolled a Human Thief on Sunday and had a blast. Super squishy but I like the challenge and I have faith in ANet to un-nerf them haha.
 
Before BWE1 I was going to have an Asura Mesmer as my main. I couldn't roll Asura so I went with experimental choice, Charr engineer, and never looked back. The human Mesmer I rolled ended up L2 after the second stress test. The Engi? L44.
 
I had planned on playing a human ranger, and thats what I started off as. Had tons of fun pveing and pvping on the ranger. Tried out my 2nd choice. Mesmer. Was fun, but im not sure i like that I cant just cast my illusions, so will prob not be doing that straight away. My 3nd choice was guardian, and playing it was okkkk but i couldnt get into it as much as I thought I would.

That being said I am not sure I will still play ranger. I had tons of fun on both engineer and warrior.

I just cant make my mind up! argghhh!

I will probably spend a bunch of hours watching videos of all 3 of the classes that I had the most fun with, and decide moments before launch begins what Im going to do :p
 
i started with a sylvari engineer, which was pretty awsome. then i tried an asuran mesmer. the asurans have some of the best lines in y opinion so now im stuck between which race i will pick as my main. found mesmer abit odd to play as, special since i found engineer so straight forward to use and easy o get the hang of. still can't get the idea of a rolling a necro out my head though.

ahhh choices. i might just ro a dice/flip a coin/pick a proff out a hat to decide.

the only proffession i didn't try this weekend was the thief...hmm

so basically i wil be rolling sylvari as my main, asuran as a close second and their proffessions will be down to pure whim at the time of launch lol
 
Since I will definitely be rolling my first character with my mate Diremongoose, I'll be rolling a Charr Warrior first, and main-ing with him for some time.

Pissing about smacking things across the face with a giant hammer, and slicing them up with Sword/Axe was awesome. And since he's going Engineer, I won't need a ranged weapon for the PvE content, basically. And he can buff me with elixirs!

So yeah, Charr Warrior now.
 
As BWE3 was my first time playing the game, I had a hard time just learning how the game actually plays out, I started a thief, love how it plays out, and tried elementalist and guardian ... but without having gone through a whole lot, it's a very hard decision. loll

Thief is probably where I'm going to go, but the race might change, as with a lot of people I think, I'm confused ! lol
 
Still going to run Guardian...but not sure if Charr or Sylvari. The should build was working great the first day but I was getting smashed the third day....so going to seriously have to look into new builds. Also found out that I really need a naga mouse or other gaming mouse with extra buttons to play properly...I played like shit when we were playing together and I had only a basic 2 button mouse...
