A few Clay Pieces

So I'm starting to sculpt with clay. I have only been playing with clay for a few months, though, I did have to play with some clay back in high school for my art class. I wish I had a photo of those pieces but they are LONG gone.
* I mean come on... It's been 6 1/2 years. *
I am very much still a beginner at this, but I do plan on moving forward with my clay work and actually making this my main hobby *besides gaming*; eventually job.
They are still WIPs for right now, as I need to buy some varnish before I paint.
*Painting will also be a tricky part for me... Poop.*

I made a Cthulhu, which was then squished because I had to move... but I shall remake the little guy when I get more clay.

Now... this last one had 3 different versions. My very first one was a real doozy which I'm actually glad I had to squish when I had to move.... But the other two... <3 Are so cute~!!!! Here are my 3 versions of a Poro from League of Legends.

I do have a few others that are not posted.... but they are either smashed or I have to take a photo.
These would include a random monster *smashed*, a rowsdower from Wildstar *smashed*, and a Moogle *yet to be photoed*.

*Side note: I am taking requests on what to make once I get more clay. These are not commissions just challenges to give me a bit of a push. ^^; Especially, since I've never done a commission... I wouldn't even know where to start. Haha
 
Sweet, ever try your hand a miniatures? I know some d&d nerds that would enjoy that.

Oh man, that Tonberry. I had a friend of mine in junior high that made me a Tonberry, a Moogle, and a Chocobo as a christmas gift out of clay (And a Mr. Saturn for shits and giggles with the leftover putty he had).

Looking good! Just gave me a flashback on nostalgia XD LOVING the King Bob-omb

The smallest I have done so far is 1x1x1 in inchs which are the poros. The tonberry is 1 1/2 x 1 x 2 in inches.
Honestly, right now, this is the smallest I feel comfortable with BUT I do hope to try smaller works as I get used to the tools and feel more confident. ^^
This will include charms. Heheh I already have the eye pins for them. One of my biggest goals is actually making my own game pieces, hopefully FOR table top. So I am most definately going to be working my way to minitures as time passes. :D Thank you for extra push towards my goal. <3

Hahaha Mr. Saturn really? xD Well he is only what? Two balls for the head/nose and two eggs for the feet.
Didn't think how easy he would be to make.

Chocobo is actually next on my list. I need stronger armature wire for it though. Also a Cactuar as well. I'll also be trying my hand at people, though... I'm kind of a small tad perfectionist *Luckily just a TAD bit* so it won't make it to the baking moment until I feel it's at least decent. As example, My Amumu I redid at least 8 times just for the body, the basic shape of his head, and his hands. *Dude, hands are evil. Hahah* But once I get basic shape for people down, I'll be trying to make the characters of the series. ^^

It makes me happy with others like the clay pieces.

SIDE NOTE: You all might even see Poros dressed up as the characters soon as well in my clay works.
I have this obsession over Poros. Sorry~!
I even have this HUGE project idea for Volibear but I very much need to work to get better and learn how to do LED stuff first. This project won't happen for quite some time though.......
 
ps. you can right click on a picture and select: "Copy image url" and then just post it using the picture tool in the editor :)

I tried that but the image didn't want to show. -.-
Deviant Art just didn't want to cooperate with me.
But it was also that the spoilers kept repeating and making a huge mess...

Very nice!

I once made an ashtray of clay when I was in junior high. My parents were very happy to receive it, even though they didn't smoke.

It's most definitely like other hobbies and arts; a learning experience. But the end product is worth it so I'm going to push myself to learn as much as possible. Like..... I Learned I need thicker wire for my armatures. But as a main example... Look at my very first poro compared to the newest one. The first one looks like Poo in comparison because I kept trying. xD Hahah I was too stubborn to give up because of his ugliness.
Anyways, I'm sure there are other things that you're great at that you also love to do. ^^ SO Just because this isn't your sort of thing, there are others~!

And thank you. I remember having to make something like that *the ashtray, I mean* with cold porcelain *I think* in 1st grade. Mine came out a MESS~!

I have yet to test my pony making but I can sure try. ^^

Dimension wise... They may be not be the exact you ask but I could try to make it as close as I can. Since I edit by adding clay onto or taking away clay from the base which would be my armature piece. Also it would depend, if you would like me to make her reading a book, in her gown, the positioning of her stance, and so on. *And since you added the "Princess" part I'm already assuming you would like the actual Ali-corn version of Twilight. So We'd have to discuss if you'd like the wings to be spread out and such.* I mean, there are many things I could do to make it any way you'd like. Well... except float. ^^; I don't trust myself accomplishing that just yet.

*My eldest is obsessed and as an adult I find it's not that bad of a show myself. Plus I know word for word the songs from the movies... No shame and no judgement. Hehe*

If you are interested, you are welcome to message me, so we could discuss further.
Just... You'd have to give me some slack a bit. ^^; It's be my first commission type thing.
