For those who don't know battle royal is a game type / server type in which 40 people parachute into a town or area on the map and have a deathmatch. The idea is gear up and go kill the other 39 people. Last one standing gets a real good goodie bag. I believe its a key to a crate plus an airdrop. 2nd and 3rd place also get what is called an elite bag with cool stuff in it. All 40 people get a mystery bag (on top of the 1-3 rewards for those people). Most of the stuff in all the bags are new skins for your gear.
You parachute in with basically starter loot plus binocs and a compass. there are ample places where weapons and ammo are sitting out so you can get geared up quick. there are also lots of driveable vehicles around with all the parts in them and ready to drive when you jump in.
To prevent everyone from scattering and hiding for hours there is a big ring of poisonous fog that herds everyone into the center. If you stay in the fog you die. Every 2 minutes the ring gets smaller and smaller. Usually by the time you reach it to 5 to 10 people you are all face to face in the center of the safe zone.
I managed to get into 1 game and got lucky that I teamed up with 2 guys and we drove around in a jeep for most of the game. We had a truce till top 3 and I managed to get 2nd place. In the mystery bag, I got a black and yellow skin for my trucker hat, and in the elite bag I got a cammo skin for my shirt.

1. uncheck europe on the server list on the top right.
2. Sort the server list alphabetically and scroll down to the b's where the name Battle Royal will show up
3. Click on the US server check mark (while europe is unchecked) and it will switch to the Europe list
4. Click on the Europe server check mark (while US is unchecked) and it will switch to US
5. Do steps 3 and 4 until a Battle Royal server shows up and then join it.
* you will have to make a new name on the BR server to join. This goes for each BR server you join
** If you get a Queue, just quit the list and try again. Unfortunately this bugs out the join button so you have to quit the game and restart.
