Info
Races
Right now races do nothing for the game play other than make you look different. There are male and female options on each. You can choose from multiple face options, hair options, and hair colors.

The races are: Dwarf, Elf, Frogman, Goblin, Human, Lizardman, Orc, Undead.

Classes
Every class has the skills of: Petmaster and Riding, Climbing and Hang Gliding, Swimming and Sailing.
Each class has 2 specializations you can choose from to put skill points into. You can switch back and forth between specializations at an NPC in the cities.
Each specialization of each class has a skill that is unique to it alone.
Because of infinite leveling you can put lots and lots of points in each skill you have.
Press X to access the skill tree.

There are infinite levels, but as you level more the benefit to power is less each time. There is a max power of 100 that is impossible to reach because it represents infinite level.

Warrior:
The Warriors are one of the four player classes. Warriors are described as "masters of close-range combat" and possibly the most 'combat-ready' of all classes. They can deal, as well as receive, a fair amount of damage, enabling them to fight enemies that would otherwise be much too strong for them, at lower levels.

Warrior Weapons: Warriors can only use weapons specific to their class, which include Iron Sword(s), Mace, Greatsword, Greatmace, Iron Axes, and Greataxes . Each has a specific strength and is more suited to an individual's play style, Such as a mace, that will swing slowly but deal great damage, or swords, that will swing quickly in succession but deal only small amounts of damage per individual hit.

Warriors wear Iron armor.

Warrior Abilities:
  • Smash - The player jumps to the selected spot and smashes nearby enemies.
  • Cyclone - The player spins around for a duration of time determined by the amount of skill points contributed to this skill and attacks close enemies in all directions.
Specializations

Guardians have increased health and special abilities.
  • Bulwark - This is a Guardian specialization skill. The player becomes immune against stun attacks and suffers less damage. Can be used while attacking. Lasts for a duration of time determined by the amount of points contributed to this skill.
Berserkers profit from war frenzy, which increases their attack speed with each hit.
  • War Frenzy - This is a Berserker specialization skill. The player goes into a war frenzy, charging special attacks faster. Lasts for a duration of time determined by the amount of points contributed to this skill.

Rogue:
The Rogue class specializes in stealth and dodging.

Rogue Weapons: Rogues can use daggers, fist weapons, and longswords; the Ninja spec. can throw Shurikens.

The Rogue wears cotton armor.

Rogue Abilities:
  • Intercept - The player moves quickly to the targeted location and uses its special ability on close enemies.
  • Sneak - The player hides in the shadows to camouflage with their surroundings. Stealth increases damage, critical strike chance and MP regeneration.
Specializations

Assassins specialize in stealthy maneuvers to inflict damage upon their enemies.
  • Camouflage - This is an Assassin specialization skill. The player camouflages with its surroundings and stays in stealth even in combat. Stealth increases damage, critical strike chance and MP regeneration.
Ninjas are quick melee fighters who specialize in evasion and counterattacks.
  • Shuriken-Attack - This is a Ninja specialization skill. The player performs a back-flip and hails a storm of shuriken upon the enemy. The shuriken has to be aimed manually and can hit multiple targets.

Ranger:
The Ranger is the most fitting choice to specialize in mid-to-long range combat, preferring to keep a safe distance from enemies. Depending on specialization, Rangers tend to either snipe from afar or nimbly evade hits from mid-range. They wear medium armor and can attack with bows, crossbows or boomerangs and benefit from the ability of Stealth.

Ranger Weapons: that can be used by the ranger are Bows, Crossbows and Boomerangs. Each has a specific strength and is more suited to an individual's play style.

Rangers wear linen or bone armor.

Ranger Abilities:
  • Kick - The player knocks back all enemies within range with a bold kick. Enemies can become stunned.
  • Retreat - The player jumps backwards to seek shelter.
Specializations

Snipers use stealth and precision to eliminate their enemies.
  • Aim - This is a Sniper specialization skill. The player enters stealth to camouflage with its surroundings. Stealth increases damage, critical strike chance and MP regeneration. This ability gets cancelled by the player's movement.
Scouts are quick ranged fighters who use fast movements and attacks.
  • Scout's Swiftness - This is a Scout specialization skill. The player's speed increases allowing them to attack and move faster. Lasts for a duration determined by the amount of points contributed to this ability.
Spirit Mage:
The Spirit Mage fits the Magic-user archetype in Cube World. Unlike other classes, the Spirit Mage passively generates spirit over time.

Spirit Mage Weapons: that can be used by the spirit mage are Wand(s), Staff(s), and Bracelet(s). Each has a specific strength and is more suited to an individual's play style.

Spirit Mages wear silk armor.

Spirit Mage Abilities:
  • Mana Shield - The player is protected by a magical shield which absorbs damage for a duration of time determined by the amount of points contributed to this skill.
  • Teleport - The player is teleported where the crosshair is, limited range.
Specializations

Fire Mages use fire to inflict damage on their enemies.
  • Fire Explosion - This is a Fire Mage specialization skill. The player casts a powerful fire spell that burns and occasionally stuns enemies.
Water Mages use water spells to heal allies and harm enemies.
  • Healing Stream - This is a Water Mage specialization skill. The player casts a stream of water to heal a targeted ally or the player.
  • While in water, a mage's water spells have increased damage and amount of hits depending on its weapon.
Crafting:
Crafting can be done at various places in the world, usually needing some sort of crafting implement to do so. Many foods need a campfire to craft, iron based weapons need a forge, cloth armor needs a loom, etc.

You need to learn the recipe to craft an item. Most come from blueprints found or bought in the world. Some are free and learned when you level.

You can only craft items or learn blueprints for your class.

Crafting buildings are slated to be implemented into the game at a later date: Housing.

Weapon Customization:

Weapons can be upgraded and customized on a per-voxel basis using the Customization Bench. For instance, iron swords can be upgraded with iron cubes which can be freely placed on the weapon. This increases damage and health, but also changes the look of weapons. You can rotate the weapon with the middle-click button on your mouse. Spirit cubes are rare magic cubes that can be obtained by defeating bosses. They're more powerful than normal cubes and have additional effects when placed on a weapon:
  • Fire Spirit deals additional fire damage.
  • Wind Spirit increases attack and movement speed of the player.
  • Ice Spirit slows attack and movement speed of the target.
  • Unholy Spirit deals damage to the target and heals the player.
At the moment only weapons and shields can be upgraded and customized with different spirits but in future updates you may be able to customize hand gliders and boats for aesthetic purposes.
A previously placed Iron Cube or Spirit may be removed from a weapon or shield after attachment, by left clicking a block and drop it on the outside of the customization window. note that a Cube or Spirit that is removed from a weapon or shield after attachment will be destroyed.
There is a bug with weapon customization where if you have reached the upgrade limit (for example, 16) and you attempt to place a Iron Cube or Spirit it will be removed from you but will not be placed onto the weapon.

Pets:
A pet refers to any tamable animal or monster within the Cube World universe. A pet can be tamed simply by feeding it its favorite food, after which, it will gain XP as the player does, and help the player fight monsters. A pet, once captured, can also be stored in the inventory and taken out at will.

Every player can have a pet which accompanies him during his adventures and assists in combat. A player can possess as many pets as he wants, but only one pet can be active at a time. The remaining pets are stored in a special pet bag in the inventory.

Most pets can be used as a mount if you spec into the skill.

Pets have their own set of skills or moves. It is currently undetermined what the pets' command interface is at the moment.

Found a teleport stone in Sangor earlier today. Here's a screenshot of where it's located. It's located where I'm standing, not where the cursor is pointing.
