"Guild Wars 2" has been one of the most successful PC games of the year thus far, but the world could be receiving a bit of a hit to its support.
According to a report from GameSpottoday, "Guild Wars 2's" developer NCsoft will shortly begin to layoff workers who work at internal publishing.
One thing about the gaming industry that seems extremely difficult to watch is the ever-growing trend of workers being laid off.
Many companies have done so recently, with NCsoft being the most recent to go that route.
Public relations director Lincoln Davis provided a typical response as to why these layoffs are occurring.
"NCsoft is realigning internal publishing resources to better suit the needs of our game development studios.
"As a result of the realignment, several employees and contract positions were affected. This was a very tough decision to make and wish the best for all NCsoft employees in their next ventures," Davis said.
Do you think the layoffs will have a negative impact on the overall support for "Guild Wars 2?"
