So I'm not going to try to equal my wife in wordiness, as I know I'll lose that battle!

My name is Doug, I'm a 48 year young long time gamer. I'm old enough to remember the first DnD box, and I've played a variety of social games over the years - table top RPGs, miniature war gaming, MMOs, etc. I spent 4 years playing Asheron's Call (where I met and became friends with this chick named Lis/Malisent) and roughly 6 years in WoW, where I mostly tanked for progressive raiding guilds.

Outside of gaming I'm a 6' 4" white guy who can't jump but loves to play basketball and watch most any sport. I'm a NY fan (Jets, Mets, Knicks) so I'm long suffering too! I also like to read, watch TV or the occasional movie, and debate politics.

Lis and I are in the midst of planning for a move from Boston to Portland ME on Oct. 2nd, so I may not be around quite as much at first, but I love forums and consider your emphasis on them to be a major point in your favor!

During the day I'm a consultant for a small employee owned energy consulting firm.

And that's pretty much me. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and perhaps kill a few bosses with you down the road.

Funny man! Actually, I generally run into more Mets/Giants and Yankee/Jets fans, so yeah, I'm odd for a NY fan. And yeah Crake - 10 years in Denver followed by 3 in Florida followed by 10 in Boston and I'm still a NY fan through and through!

By the way, one thing I didn't think to mention - I'm ex military. Anyone else here who's served in some capacity?

Nice. We gamed with a Dallas police officer for years. I think you're the only other law enforcement person I've met in 12+ years of online gaming!

Idk if its easier for them or whatever but most of my co-workers in the jail and on the road console game instead. Lot of drunken battlefield and call of duty kinda stuff.
