How to grief a Public SimCity Region

While we do not support griefing of others.... we do find it amusing how many ways are unintentionally surfacing as ways to do so. Some even where the game griefs you (radioactive meteor showers....) So in hopes to bring it more the the surface here are the top 4!

Option A(We build for China!):
Build up a little in an already upgraded public area.
Make 300k Easy to do with max taxes and no care in the world oh and BONDS.
Plop Nuclear Power plant in center of City.
Wait for it to fail.
Repeat as many times as you like until you have made the entire area uninhabitable.

Option B(the lazy mans option):
Take a city, do NOTHING. Wait a week when they are no longer playing the region and abandon.

Or go on a server you don't play on and max out as many cities as you can in a public region and do the same as above.

Since you can't be booted from a region... You get the point.

Option C (easiest option):

From reddit: So you want to grief a public region, or maybe your friends? Well, just claim a city, or more, take out all bonds and spend it all on roads. The game will now go to pause because you don't have any money, and as you have no buildings, you have nothing to turn off, no income, only expenses for the bonds, and because the game is automatically paused, you can't receive any gifts from your neighbours.
Abandoning the city doesn't reset the economy in any way, so all you're left with is an unplayable area in the region. Do this to a lot of citys in the region, and you've successfully ruined the game for everybody.
Regards, Dr. Vu

Option D(the ultimate grief):

Build up a little in an already upgraded public area.
Make 300k Easy to do with max taxes and no care in the world.
Plop Nuclear Power plant in center of City.
Wait for it to fail.

Now take out bonds to the max. Place streets until you are almost broke. DELETE STREETS QUICKLY!
Now they are paused, no money, no bonds, no one to tax, and a HUGE center area unable to be used due to radiation.

What ways have you figured out how to grief your neighbors?

Do you get extravagant using a Vu Headquarters with only a road to the highway to release your henchmen? Or do you want a more lasting impact like the above?

FYI: These are being posted in hopes that they will be fixed. Cause this is some shit :p

I intentionally tried to grief myself on a private region from one city to another.. :)

In a nutshell -

Have a lot of residential with lots of industrial, no police, no education, and other things that aren't good. It produces tons of criminals that spill-over to other cities. If you have mass-transit that goes from one city to other (to find jobs for example), the criminals use it as well.. lol

Place industrial and other high pollution stuff up-wind of other regions so the pollution blows their way.

Cause nuclear meltdowns by disasters up-wind so that blows their way as well.

Don't bankrupt your city by bonds and stuff - you need to build more high pollution stuff. :)

I think I just created your first scenario completely unintentionally. The nuclear power plant lied to me, I swear, in reporting that worker education level was safe for operation. :S

Pollution actually doesn't effect other cities in a region. Not to the effect of mattering at least.

Grief yourself by building Dr. Vu's tower.. fuckin' waist of space.

Pros: Industry jumped up to mid/high tech almost immediately, a couple of industry buildings went up in happiness right away due to more places to ship freight.

Cons: Happiness gain (industry) from freight deliveries cancelled out by crime presence. Non-upgraded it harbors 50 criminals, turning off the building just allows those criminals to use the building like a home from what I can tell. Happiness in the city dropped from 80% to 67% in under an hour. Spending 6000$ an hour in police to control it. Sending out 50 henchmen results in a temporary drop of about 5% in approval/happiness rating, a few building to go abandoned due to crime, and prisons to (usually) become overcrowded, releasing the henchmen as regular criminals who move into your city's residential areas. All for a "loot" gain of 50$. The plus side is you can destroy it and have those 50 criminals move directly into your residential areas without having to arrest them first.
