Intel Haswell CPU's

I've been waiting on the Haswell launch for quite some time now. My plan was to get a GTX 780, i7 4770k and a new motherboard to plug it all into. Unfortunately, it looks like Intel didn't quite deliver on the performance upgrade I was looking for. The CPU's released yesterday and the motherboard for them released today. Honestly, it looks like I'll be sticking with my 2500k or maybe grabbing a 2600k for the hyperthreading, since they'll be really cheap and won't require a new motherboard. I'll take the $750 I was going to spend on a Haswell CPU and mobo and get a second GTX 780. :p

Anyways, I'm not just rambling at random here. I did create this thread to share a bit of information with you. :p

If you scroll down to the gaming section, you'll see that there is hardly any difference between the last 3 generations of CPU's, for gaming performance.

What are your thoughts on all of this?

Just stick with your 2500k for a couple of more years, the CPU has enough power for almost anything.

This is also why I suggest a 2500k to everyone, you'll be cheaper off for about the same performance; the upgrade is just no worth it imo.

A real upgrade would be moving to an LGA2011 CPU, you know, those gigantic beasts? They WILL give you a boost.
