Class/Race(if applicable)
What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
I want to raid, I absolutely love the prospect getting into some 40 man's again. I've been grasping at every MMo straw since vanilla WoW in an attempt to replicate the feeling of coordinating with 39 other people to take down an enormous foe...
That being said I also love PvP, not a hardcore Grand Marshal type guy but I dabble.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
Played WoW from launch to Cata, although I stopped any form of endgame content after WotLK.
Also played: Tera [5 months]
Age of Conan [1 yearish]
Guild Wars 1 [2 years]
Guild Wars 2 [3 months
]
SwTOR [2 months]
DCUO [3 months]
TABULA RASA
[1 year roughly]
I honestly can't think of them all, I don't think there was an MMO that I didn't play for at least 1 month.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I was apart of 2 great guilds during my 7 year WoW span, the first was actually created by me and a few friends with no real intention to take the game as anything more than a time sink, started it at around level 40 on my first character with about 10-12 members than it grew to a cool 30 very active people.
Than came the fall of a very large competitive guild on our server, I had a real life friend in the guild and he convinced a few of their members to form a new guild with our members.
I had never done any form of serious raiding of any sort, never played a game with any sort of serious anything really, so going from goofing around with a few friends to getting attuned to the Core/Onyxia than taking down Lucifer in the same week was pretty awesome, all with a large contingent of people I had personally recruited to my old guild, it was fucking awesome.
It was quite an awesome experience over the next year or so, spending everyday on vent, helping one another complete class quests, doing random guild events and on top of that we were able to clear BWL and get quite a handle on AQ40 (although never able to clear) with a guild that had only 50 members, 10 of which I knew in real life.
The majority of the guild stayed together through a re-roll to horde when Burning Crusade released but ultimately fell apart with the release of Cata.
I then bounced from guild to guild in Cata never being able to come close to replicating the original glory and my love for WoW slowly dropped and I haven't touched it since.
How did you hear about the AltTabMe?
I actually came over here after reading the Don't believe the hype post regarding Archeage. Came back a few times looking for updates on it, eventually saw you guys doing the Wildstar thing and decided to make an account.
Even after making an account I had intention of posting (in all honestly I'm not a forum person) it was actually Jia that messaged my account asking if I was a bot that made me post, didn't want him to worry.
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I suppose I'm chatty, not in a post-a-lot type deal but I'm fairly active on the chat, especially at work.. what the hell else am I going to do there?
I'm not particularly skilled when it comes to theorycrafting or anything of the sort but I am pretty good at listening to instruction and following directions...
I also love to help people, it was my primary focus in WoW, I spend a lot of time just sitting in the game so I might as well dedicate it to helping people who don't have the same awesome schedule as me right?
I am extremely hilarious, but I have a very dark, nasty sense of humour unfortunately, takes a long time for me to gauge the audience as willing to accept without worrying about being ostracised and labelled a psychopath.
How much time do you spend a week on games?
Including playing pokemon emerald on my phone? Than like 100 hours. More realistic estimate puts me at around 40.
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
Jeez this feels like I'm on trail at Nuremberg, but instead of a prosecution its some sort of twisted dating game..
Have you finished all of the prerequisite requirements?
Yes (I read and replied to the rules, I understand I must be active on the forums to stay on the roster, and I have a minimum of 1-2 posts(other than this application), and I made sure those posts weren't just bullshit)
