I see many of us checking out Neverwinter. I wanted to make a quick post to let people know that it is available to download and play now - http://nw.perfectworld.com/

I have made a character (Gyoin) on the Mindflayer Shard (server). If others would like to join, let me know! I'll get on mumbles soon after I get used to it.

Other people should post their characters here and server, and if possible start to migrate onto the same server.
 
I may join. Tell me what it is like though. Is it done well or..? Classic MMO, Sandbox, PnP style, details man!
 
i rolled on mindflayer since thats what server i was told to roll on..ny zakis i believe. although i may be wrong, time has passed since then. i might re-roll though, not sure, kinda want to check out the cleric guy
 
I'm kinda liking it. It feels a bit like GW2 combat (actiony, but faster paced), but the telegraph system looks a lot like Wildstar actually haha. It's not a tab target system, but a cursor system (Tera). Once an attack is initiated on a cursor target, it continues on an auto-lock system. Say my auto attack is a 3 hit combo, holding down the button will continue the attack. It'll also combo the combo attack (Hold it down for consecutive combos). Also, if you're getting hit by multiple mobs and are within melee range, once you kill the first mob, you kinda auto attack them next mob as long as it's in range. Makes for really fluid combat.

Questing is pretty generic. Haven't done much else rather than level 4 trickster. I'll get back on further indepth stuff.
 
gyoin i just mailed you from a briefly made new toon that has now been deleted haha. get over to mindflayer :) also where the mumble presence :p

Eh, ill probably still try it... The classes are a little lack luster though. Where the F is my necromancer? Or even a blackguard.... Come on.....
 
So far it rubbed me wrong. Dunno what to say about it.... delay in attacks, dodges, every character feels short and stout... the movement is weightless.... attacks are kinda meh.. i dunno just feels weird and dated.

I'll prolly still play a bit to group up. I don't care what the game is if we can play together but this game is just kinda meh.

I figured out what it reminded me of, I feel like I am in the hobbit. That movie just never felt EPIC because everything was fucking tiny. :p It has that hobbit feel to it. In the Real world they are tall people, but in the hobbit camera magic made them small which is what it feels like in this game haha.
 
Anyone else having login issues? I login and gets ready to play then says disconnected from login server
 
Im on my way out the door but my character is Zaki on Mindflayer. One of my old raiding guilds from WoW/Rift/SWTOR has resurrected in Neverwinter for the time being. The redeeming factor for most of them and myself is the Foundry. Players creating awesome content for other players. I have already run through a few that were quite awesome and Ill describe it a bit more once I get home.
 
Been playing it. On mindflayer. Loving it.

I played back in closed beta and was kind of turned off by it initially, I think it was due to getting used to the combat. Then I gave it another shot and ended up loving it and buying the Guardian starter pack. I think it's a very polished free2play game and I'm having a blast in it. Their pricing model on some things is a little ridiculous though.

And yeah, the Foundry is amazing.
 
I was trying to play last night but it kept logging me off. I would sign in an get all the loading statements and then "Disconnected from login server" Bah /cry
