What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
Since I have no idea about the game. I'll be good at asking questions? I'll be good at being in that percentage of console gamer to pc gamer converts that will gladly spread the good word on this awesome game to fellow console buddies.
Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
yes
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
I'm new to MMO's. This will be my very first one. As such I'm a complete noob. I mean TOTAL newbie. Went over to Gyoin's house one day for a beta weekend and he had to show me how to properly move about correctly. That's how much I don't know.
I've known Gyoin for years now and that entire time he's been hounding me to get into pc gaming. Until now I have strictly been a console gamer. With the release of Diablo 3, my fond memories of playing the original Diablo and Gyoin on my ass about pc gaming, I decided it was a good chance to pick up pc gaming by purchasing a new pc. So this will not only be my first MMO, but also act as my first venture into pc gaming. So far Diablo 3 has disappointed me greatly with its BS, but that's another story.
Because of being mainly a console gamer since I got my first nintendo, I am more accustomed/comfortable playing games by myself. I have no problem playing with people, but I hate speeding through areas and skipping spots just to get to a desired point. I like exploring every nook and crannie of maps; admiring the scenery and surroundings, appreciating small things that went into the game design. I like doing everything possible and THEN moving ahead. For instance, I hate playing Diablo 3 with people because everyone just wants to rush through the maps.
I haven't been very vocal online either. As mentioned the only online games I've played are MGO, U2 and U3 online. I guess I never got into talking online with teammates in those games because whenever I had my mic on no one would ever listen to me and simply rush to their deaths. In MGO everyone just talked via keyboard. If people are willing to listen I'll talk.
Another thing is lately, my gaming has taken a hit from my everyday life. I work weekdays (obviously) and practice Bikram yoga everyday, sometimes twice a day. The distance between work, yoga and my house is far so it decreases the free time I used to have for gaming. Not to mention I'll be going back to school in the Fall and having to deal with other great game titles released in October. I don't know exactly how much time is expected of me to be in GW2 to be approved for the guild, but I can't sacrifice too much time during the week. I'm pretty much free on weekends. Weekends is when I squeeze any gaming in.
I think that's it. So as you can see, there's much room for growth here within GW2. Thanks for your time.
