“Play hard and have FUN harder!”

Crafting Worlds was founded around the idea of a place where fun and our everyday lives could intermingle. It is important that the stigmas attached to gaming and anonymity are not taken advantage of, but used to empower a mature community where actions reflect on the entire member base and give each individual a voice without defamation.

Community, friends, family, games — this is what the founders envisioned in the early development of Crafting Worlds. They wanted a place where their left and right brained selves could co-exist no matter what games they jumped to, opinions they formed, or side of the bed they woke up on. Several years later, the community has taken on a life of its own, growing into a family with an ever open door and welcoming words. Like a hostel in the middle of a big trail, you can choose to stay as long as you want or grab some information and be on your way.

Iteration plays a key role in this community, as it does in the industry of the games we play. Coming from a strong background in product management and development work in the gaming industry, the founders use their experiences to give Crafting Worlds community cutting edge tech while maintaining the “on the couch with a beer in the comfort of your own home” feel. The contributions we receive from the community keep with this philosophy.

Crafting Worlds has a wonderful group of admins, reporters, bloggers, and moderators that ensure our mission statement stays true. We are always looking for talented individuals who want to help with the community, so if you want to play a bigger role please feel free to contact us below!

Pull up a chair, grab a coffee(or tea), and enjoy your stay!

“Expense of Others” – this equates to “Drama”

Here is our policy on “Drama”: Everyone gets a chance to recognize their fuck up, talk to the person, and work it out on their own. We are all adults and expect everyone to behave as such. No “he said, she said". However, if the conflict cannot be resolved independently, the site’s admins and mods are always available to help mediate, so please reach out to them. We understand this happens. But keep in mind that we are not the hands of God; if we as admins wanted to take that path, we would keep our distance and act all holier than thou, and probably wouldn’t have days of naked chat roulette with everyone, not that we do that... But we want YOU as family, too. Which really goes against naked anything...

So basically, handle yo shit. We are not your keepers. This is the internet, and sometimes you will not get along with everyone. Self mod yourself and keep the community up to the standards you want to be treated with.

We have used this methodology since our first community many years ago and as you can see through the relationships of the core members, we are good friends in-game and in real life. This is what we hope for everyone who joins our community.

We will not be changing our policies, so please respect one another. We come here to unwind from our daily lives, so make a conscious effort to be nice to one another. Try to think twice before you jab and poke fun at one another, we don’t want you to filter who you are, your opinions, and thoughts, so we ask you just think: "If I was having the worst day of my life today, how would that make me feel". Because ya just never know what is going on with someone today, tomorrow, yesterday, this year.

We are not here to hold your hand and make life decisions for you. If you don't want to hang out, no problem, you can leave. If you do want to hang around, no problem, stay. But be an adult and make the best decisions for you, while respecting those around you!

“We are men and women of fixed and unbending principles, the first of which is to be flexible at all times.” – Everett Dirksez

Zero Tolerance Policy:

There are very few things that we do not tolerate on this site. We all joke around and we enjoy good company (you!). Sadly, every now and again we must alter our procedures in order to keep order. We have a few rules that will result in immediate expulsion from the the site and any community you may have joined, in addition to making us sad pandas.

1. Any racist slurs or incredibly insulting comments referencing sexual orientation or other sensitive issues towards another member on this site or in any games that we play while representing Crafting Worlds, or even just in general. Yes, some of us joke around but there is always a boundary that should never be crossed. If you are repeatedly offended after asking someone to chill or knock it off, LET AN ADMIN KNOW. We will handle any situation accordingly.

There are certain terms we would strongly prefer you not use, but understand they are ingrained into the gaming culture(e.g., rape, fag, gay). While we do not want to censor you, we ask that you be considerate and mindful of your use of these terms, as they are don’t need to be how we portray ourselves.)

This is a check to see if you read the rules, when you apply. If you do not have an avatar for the forums(the image that goes where your profile picture is), you will not be approved if you apply for membership. This shows you took the time to make your profile your own. It also let's us know if you read this for an app.

Safe Zone:

This may sound silly to mention but this server is heavily moderated by it's player-base and staff to be a safe community for all. What does that mean? It means what happens in game stays in game.

We want you to come here after a long day of work and spend your time enjoying what video games have to offer you, not worry about who said what, when, and where. We do not and will not tolerate discrimination again gender, sexual orientation, religion, or just using whatever semblance of Internet anonymity you may be holding onto to create a toxic environment. "Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!"

We are all here for the same reason: to play the game, in the game, with the mechanics it provides. Not PvP on forums, discord chat, or other social media outlets. We take this very seriously. It is something that plagues the game world in particular. We aim to rise above it!
