Have any of you guys seen this yet? I ran across it today, it's a gigantic open-world MMO based on creating a civilization. It looks like it's super early in its design process, but if it turns out to be anything like this video, it may be quite entertaining.

I read through some of the FAQ, looks like it'll all start in the stone age and advance as people discover stuff and build things. It will allow them to release alphas/betas/and the game with very little content to start, and add more in as the world advances through tech.

I like that there is literally no NPCs, the only thing on full AI are animals. If you want to sell something, you have to find someone to buy it. So you can spend your time making tools and trade them for food, and hire people to help you plow a field in exchange for the food you've bought.

They are working on a prototype they can show off in order to start a kickstarter.

hmm...

sounds crazy and difficult and hard sell for people today who want instant satisfaction.

Hmm... on the other hand, considering how successful Minecraft is (and all the stuff that people do with that game!), I'm pretty sure that, if they manage to pull it off, they could create a niche that caters to the tastes of a significant amount of gamers.

The Golden Egg of games :)

Hopefully they don't try to replicate and they have true passion to build something unique.
