I don't know if any of you ever played JumpGate (awesome open-ended space-sim MMO that's now sadly shut down), but the guys that were behind that (NetDevil then, but now the core team created End Games Entertainment)... they have a new game out that's a lot of fun. 
It reminds me a lot of SubSpace from back in the day, mixed with LoL/DotA. It's FTP, worth checking out for sure. I played it a while back when it was on Facebook and had a lot of fun, now it's moved out to Kongregate (thank gawd, I hate facebook.)

I still keep in touch with some of the devs from back in the day, and they're a really great group of folks, and they listen to the community.
