Dear Wildstar Raiders:
We have been asked to clarify loot rules when a player is asked to bring an alternate character (alt) into raids. This came up as a secondary concern due to the way loot was distributed earlier this week.
First, everyone is expected to declare a main character. This is the character that we will prioritize in raid compositions and for loot distribution. You are expected to bring your main character to every raid unless otherwise instructed by your raid leader.
If, at any time before or during a raid, your raid leader asks you to bring an alt, then this character is granted the same right to loot as other characters in the raid. As a reminder, our loot rules are need vs. greed with priority to armor class first, main spec second, and off-spec third.
We do understand that the needs of the raid may change over time. If, at some point, you are interested in declaring a new main character for the purposes of raiding, you must notify a raid leader in writing.
At that point, the raid officers will assess several factors, including, but not limited to: performance based on logs, ability to execute mechanics, attendance, and ability to follow direction and take constructive criticism with desire to improve. A raid leader will follow-up with you to approve or deny your request.
Please reply to this thread if you have any questions.
