GW2 WEEKLY EVENT IDEAS

.. and the fact that you stated that you don't like Jersey Shore give you +1 interweb too.
 
I think it'd be nice to take advantage of the in-game dye system and give a nod to breast cancer awareness month. This could either be a modification of ongoing events or could develop into an event in and of itself, but I think it'd be cool to have the guild get together and go with full-on pink outfits (you can get some good looking pink dyes for about 2 silver I think so it shouldn't be too hard).

My mother just had a mastectomy, so I've also been thinking about this.

I'm definitely down for wearing pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. I'll look smashing in a nice pastel pink.

Already been doing this for the most part of this month! :D I'm glad there are more people who are doing this! It'd be awesome if we can get together for a screenie! ^^

Or perhaps next time we do one of the town exploration events we can all be in pink?
 
I'll start rolling with my Charr Warrior more this month. I have Cotton Candy dye on him. Definitely wan to support Breast Cancer awareness month.
 
How about a streaker race. Everyone strips down to nothing and race from point to point first one there wins and no porting.
 
A fun event I've seen done in other games is to have everyone create a new lvl 1 toon. You then have a footrace, usually one major city to another. You aren't allowed to buy gear or stop to kill anything that doesn't aggro itself onto you. There could be an approved path that hits certain waypoints so you dont reset completely when you die. It turns into quite the massacre when going through higher level zones, with people putting other guildies ahead of them as bait. Good fun.
 
Can you update your main post with the ideas and which ones we have and have not done yet please ;)
 
Couple ideas I had/found:

Lawn Darts - Find a high spot (Like the top of a jumping puzzle or something) and jump off. Whoever dies closest to the judge wins.
Scavenger Hunt - Honor system: No TP allowed. But split into teams and have each team try to get a certain list of items. Some lower level, some higher level. Some might require buying from a certain karma merchant. Some drops, etc.
Races - Foot races from one city to another, or town to town in a map (so loading times don't come into play) Especially fun with level 1 characters in higher level zones, like someone mentioned.
Escort Quests - Officers create level 1 characters. Each officer gets escorted by a small group (3-4 higher level characters) from one spot to another on the map. Groups must port back to beginning if their officer gets killed. High level zone encouraged. First to get their officer to the end alive wins.
Costume Contest - Create a new character (if you want) and try and get gear, character, etc to look like someone. Can you make someone that looks like Mario? Ezio? Luke Skywalker? Non-participants can try and guess who each participant is, or just have a general vote. (Give good notice so people can prepare costumes)

That's all I can think of for now, but I really like the idea of the escort quests or costume contest. I think those could be a ton of fun with our members.
 
We can study the bell choir activity and replicate some of the music. My skills can only hundle the most simple jungle bell theme But this is gonna be quite hard since the bells are active for only one minute.
