Here's the thing though, cities are only directly effected by other cities in their "cluster" within a region, which is a group of around 4-5 cities. So we are going to need at least 2-3 of each specialization in order to achieve benefits for everyone. So don't worry if it's "taken." Strategic placement will make it worthwhile.
I wouldn't worry about it - there's no way all 16 people in our region will be able to specialize on just one unique thing only, so we'll be seeing plenty of "mixed" cities. We just need a general overview of who's doing what to make sure everyone gets a lot that corresponds with their plans (an oil tycoon will need oil on their land, for instance!).Ok, so since casino has already been claimed by a couple of people and Jia wants culture, I really don't know. Triage says that parks need to be mixed in with industrial areas to preserve the land, right? And I assume you'll want some residential areas in each of your own cities.. So I really DON'T know what to pick, lol.
I like the idea of having a mixed city with some culture, schools, residential and parks. I just don't know how that would fit with the rest of the cities. I also love the idea of building a Vegas, but like I said, that's already been covered.. unless there's room for more tourism. <_<
Mark me down for a spot.Just a reminder only 4 spots left for our first region!

Welcome to the club! There's beer in the fridge and karaoke at seven.
Without beer, there is no karaoke. *onycryy:Karaoke is still at 7.....But there's no more beer in the fridge.

I'm thinking about going for an almost fully industrial city, and relying on you guys for employees. Figured it'll help you with your industrial needs, and with this many people in one region I should have a large enough workforce. Planning on working towards technology so that my city ends up being clean-ish. Then shift towards residential with any remaining space once it's nicer to live near all the factories.
