Very true. I expect that single, low income individuals have little to worry about, but anyone in a position of influence in a company or has a relationship they are at least pretending to care about, this type of blackmail can be really effective.

On a personal note, this is why I tell my wife everything. If I meet and interesting female on the bus and have a conversation, even though it is harmless, I tell my wife all about it.
