The next time we do a reset I wanna put my nomination in to use a bukkit server where people can use either vanilla or a slightly modded version of minecraft. For example, I play on another server and on my client I use Rei's minimap and Not Enough Items mod (for the recipes) and that's it. They have other plugins on the server that make for fun things to do. If you'd like to see what I'm talking about, take a minecraft vanilla client (version 1.5) and add the server play.stargatemv.com - I've really enjoyed this server, I believe it's pretty new, but that's what makes it nice, you don't have people that are super veterans and think they're hot stuff. Also I've even had the owner and second in command personally help me with issues.
Anyway I wasn't trying to plug another server, lol. I just think that next time you decide to reset the server we try something different. I like to really play survival. In tekkit you easily get to a point where you might as well be in creative. With bukkit server and plugins you can have things like a money system, mob arena, and one thing I realized I love to do: Skyblock. Mini games within Minecraft are pretty fun, and the more people we get in, the more fun there is =)
If nobody knows how to set one up, I have a bit of knowledge with it, some of the technical things I'm a little noob on, but I have set up a server with my kids. Being able to trust people not to grief helps a ton too. However with a bukkit server there are plugins to help protect things from griefing too. Anyway, that's my thoughts, I figure it will be a while before we reset since it was just recently done, and I think it's a good idea to wait until more of the plugins and the bukkit server had a solid 1.5 version out too.
