So I know this game burned us all, but considering we paid for it and a lot of kinks have been worked out.. anyone up for building an alttabme city together?

Honestly, I'm done with EA and Origin. I've removed both the game and the service from my PC, and I don't plan on reinstalling either of them.
Considering the crap they put us through with SimCity, EA lost me as a customer.
They'll have to patch up their image considerably for me to give them another chance.

As soon as my computer is working again, I'm in.

Until then ill play with my kids blocks. Surprisingly, they are more social, offer more space to building, and don't randomly explode.

But they do cause traffic problems when played in the middle of a corridor, as I was prone to doing.

I have done the same. Its surprising I haven't done this before, seeing as how many times EA has swallowed beloved game studios and gutted them or completely ruined other game titles. This was way over the last straw, this was like the last truckload of straws.

I'll play Devil's advocate here and say that despite the miserable launch-month fiasco *dead* and the fact that EA still has its grubby little mitts in this game, I thoroughly enjoy playing it.

Obviously there's still things missing (I'm pretty sure leader boards are still down right?) and everyone hates EA with every fiber of their being...but since I really only play this game passively when I feel like it, I guess I'm more apathetic about it's flaws. A few of my friends and I play this on occasion and it's fun to have your cities interact with one-another etc.

Don't get me wrong, I pre-ordered this game and basically would have gone on a murderous rampage through EA studios if I could - but since I don't really play it competitively or with any real NEED for the game, I don't really mind if it's a little wonky - I'm only playing it once every few months anyway. I sort of view SimCity the same way I view Civilization (although Civ is obviously a higher quality game, or at least compared to this last SimCity mess) where I just play it to kill an evening and get engulfed in the "creating" of something as opposed to my normal destruction and mayhem.

The same side of me that likes SimCity also enjoys building houses in MMOs - I actually love the direction games are taking with allowing you to actually construct your own houses and towns (and villages/cities in the future)

(All that said, I really wish I had paid like $20 for this game instead of $85)

I think the game had a lot of fun elements, but I'm not a simulation game player. I bought the game for the social aspects, which were sadly broken. Now instead of being an amazing collaborative game, it's another cautionary tale.
