Do you have any friends who are Members? If so, who?
my wife, Fen.
Character Name(s)
Whizzbang
What games do you wish to play with the alttabme community?
Wildstar is the main thing on my radar but I'll try any free or cheapo game.
Class/Race(if applicable)
TBD, waiting for all the options
What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
I love raiding, and my focus will probably be pve. I'm willing to help with any group pvp but I wouldn't expect to be on any hard core pvp roster since it won't be my main focus.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
WoW - 6 years, raided hardcore for about 4 of those. Swtor - played beta, release, and raided until we ran out of game. Tera - played beta, release, then re-rolled when it went ftp. Awesome combat but not much else going for it. GW2 - got to max level but just couldn't get into it. Saw all the bots and quit. I used to play FPS games but I don't much anymore.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I've been a part of 2 amazing guilds since I've been playing MMOs. I loved all of my time in both of them and I hope that continues here. I ended up as an officer in both guilds, and while I think I did well as leader when I had to, it's not really my thing. I'm more of a worker bee sort of guy in a guild.
How did you hear about the AltTabMe?
From my wonderful wife who said "hey these people look sane."
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
On a scale of 1 thru 10
Chatty: 3
Skill: 8
Funny: 7
Helping: 8
I want to be on the guild's hardcore raiding team. I don't think I've ever missed a raid other than for a planned vacation in my life. I love to work on my dps and have had a long love affair with Recount and am happy to know there will be addons in Wildstar. I'm not a meter whore and know that executing is more important than dps. But it's an aspect I've missed in every game I've played since wow. I enjoy pushing myself and trying to better my performance.
How much time do you spend a week on games?
Depends on how much I enjoy it. I assume Wildstar is going to have me playing like I did back in vanilla wow, which is every free minute. If I have to put a number on it, probably a minimum of 50 hours a week.
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
The main reason I quit wow is that it became a place where I'd log on to feel sad and reminisce about a game that didn't exist anymore. A big part of that was friends who were no longer there.
For the last couple of years we've been floating from game to game with a few old friends trying to find something that would stick. And when a game doesn't last for more than a few months, neither does the guild. It seems that you guys have a great community that will actually stand the test of time.
Outside of gaming I'm a mild sports fan, I've worked a bunch of shitty manual labor jobs and now enjoy buying and selling vintage stuff with my wife. We don't have kids but we have a high maintenance dog and a psychotic cat. And I can juggle but can't whistle.
Have you finished all of the prerequisite requirements?
Yes (I read and replied to the rules, I understand I must be active on the forums to stay on the roster, and I have a minimum of 1-2 posts(other than this application), and I made sure those posts weren't just bullshit)
