I'm really looking forward to the Scientist path. (At least for my main - I will have an alt or two. Explorer will likely be my second choice.) Wildstar is an entirely new universe, and it's gonna be awesome learning all it has to offer! With my pocket monster-killer Vesi protecting me, of course. ^^

It's true, scientist looks pretty awesome.. same with Soldier.. oh and Explorer. Did I mention that Settler looks cool? Dammit.. how am I going to decide now?!

I'm still feeling explorer. Although I like that settlers can open rare vendors and quest givers.

As Gyoin said... 4 characters. ;) That's probably what I'll end up doing too, lol!

I usually roll alts sparingly. I put a ton of time and effort into my main, then roll an alt if another class or professions really appeal to me, but I don't give them the same type of attention I do my main. I can't imagine trying to maintain 4 toons.

Wait, yes I can. I have children.

I used to have that philosophy. In Vanilla WoW I was a priest. Never made a second character. Sold it. Rebought new account, rolled a pally in BC. Only a pally. WotLK Came out. I started to roll alts then. I wanted my hand at priest again, but also made a mage to try this DPS thing people were talking about (I healed for 4 years before even trying a dps role in WoW in raids). Destroyed meters in Naxx and beyond for WotLK on my alt. Ashamed everyone else.

I then started to really level alts in downtime while waiting for raids. Made a rogue, then a warrior, then a hunter, then another pally (since my original was on my old server), then a shaman, etc.

By the end I had everything (except DK because fuck DK's) at max level.

I leveled alts in WoW to have professions covered so I could sell all the things. And I liked having one alt geared for raiding for guild alt runs. Leveling them, though, was something I HATED. Once Cataclysm hit I leveled 2 of my alts solely from gathering because I couldn't face drudging through the same old crap again. Everything we're learning about Wildstar, though, says that alts will be less monotonous than in any other game I've played. New class, new path, dynamic zones...even my husband is excited about alts and he couldn't manage to play one alt to max level in 6 years of WoW.

Yes, Crafting was my carrot on the stick for my alts. By the end of it, I had every craft fully leveled on an efficient character (JC on BE, Herb on a tauren druid with swift flight, etc.) as well as three alchemists for each specialty.

Also had the most recipes on my cook, most alchemy items known on the server (CAULDRONS ANYONE?!), and every scribe recipe possible.

DK was most fun. Especially at the beginning when you could self rez as a ghoul for 30 more seconds. I could kill 2 or 3 and survive then as the 4th one killed me I self rezzed and finished him off. It was super op and they pulled it from the game I think in beta.

I tried DK many times, just didn't work with my playstyle. DK and Warlock were my least favorite classes. I also wasn't big on Shaman tbh either. Some characters had a purpose outside of their specific combat abilities that I wanted to level them for (Tauren Druid with Swift Flight for Herbalism and Mining, Rogue for Lock picking, Warrior Titan's Grip for shits and giggles / prot arena, Hunter PvP Arena, Pally for Arena).

I mean, I already want multiple characters in Wildstar for similar reasons. All the paths and all the tradeskills. I already know roughly how I want to do it. It's a business model for them. Make players want to play more for a monthly sub.

At the end of my WoW career, I had max level priest (main), pally (main alt), shaman, and DK. My wife had a mage, hunter, and shaman at max level that I'd mess around with sometimes. Usually by removing all the clothing, mounts, and hearthstone and logging her gnome out in Orgrimmar.

I only seriously raided with the priest and pally, though my shaman ended up with decent enough dps gear for lower tier raids.

I tried to get into the armorsmithing and tailoring, but it was soooo expensive and time consuming. Plus, the best gear wasn't crafted anyway. I ended up with max level gatherers, an engineer, a scribe, and an alchemist. Alchemist was my favorite by far. I hope to roll that in WS as well.

Velorra can confirm that I have been destroying our damage meters for years as well, they are sometimes half my damage. /flex She on the other hand, pwns the heals! On AoE she destroys most DPS as tank too lol.

Yeah man, I love DK's. I have been a rogue as my main since BC but each expac I always argue with myself whether or not to make my DK the new main. Rogue, DK, warrior ftw!

Oh man I loved playing as a DoT specced warlok and raiding in BC. Something about keeping everything I could see DoT'ed up was a lot of fun.

I did that in Cata as a shadow priest. Was pretty boring and easy to be top DPS on single target bosses.

I raided Icrecrown Citadel as both shadow and healer. Mind flay was crazy for a lot of that trash, but definitely boring.

Warlock DoT spec was not boring back in BC...cant say for after that...I took a break, and when I came back to WotLK I raided with a DK and my Mage.

I had DK, Mage, Warlock, Hunter, Rogue max level all at once at one time. God I played WoW too much.....ok no i didnt, it was fun.

i would like to say solider or settler. the thing is you gain skills for certain paths and im a bit of a pvp whore so i need to know what will work best for my class, so after a bit of playing a few paths im sure i will have my perfect path for my STONE WARRIOR GIANT :D
