GW2 Sorrow's Furnace WvW Alliance

I've posted about this on several other forums, but have gotten little in the way of productive responses from players actually on SF. Sorrow's Furnace definitely has the drive and population to succeed in WvWvW, and being a competitive player when it comes to WvW, i definetely want to succeed. Unfortunately, It seems that there has been little in the way of guild cooperation on our server.

I've seen several other servers (namely gate of madness and Crystal desert) forming large alliances of multiple guilds, and since Arcanix seems to be one of the most popular and high profile guilds on the server, I was wondering if you guys had any plans to form a large alliance. I realize that Arcanix is not really a WvW focused guild, but i saw many of your members in WvW this past beta weekend, and i'm sure that there are players who would be willing to form a squad for WvW.

Unfortunately, in the end, this is all just me ranting, and i really have no bearing on what actually occurs in this situation. WvW is hands down, my favorite part of GW2, and I really wish for my server to be successful. I have friends that I have made over the course of this beta, and we are largely set on sorrow's furnace, but Frankly, Sorrow's is Zergy and unorganized, and an alliance would be a welcome addition.

Just thought i would pop in and mention this, love the sight, and your guild seems like a great group. I can't really do much to help out, but i decided to give it a try anyway. See you all in game for the headstart.

Serious note, we have decided a while ago that we are not going to be forming any official alliances before launch. We are focusing on ourselves for now as a guild and growing from within. You are correct in saying we are not a WvW centric guild, and we don't ever plan to be. We will do everything we can to contribute as much as possible to WvW, but as of now we don't even want to think of alliances. Too messy, too many politics and it goes against our relaxed nature of just enjoying the game :)

We thank you for your post and we will stay in contact for future possibilities, but for now we will just have to graciously decline any talk of alliances. Our focus is on Arcanix first.
 
I can absolutely respect that, That is one of the things that truly makes your guild special, and I think that's awesome. I've watched your stream a few times, seen several of your videos and checked out the website and it really seems like you guys have something great going on here.

I hope to see you guys in game, and just like you, await release with baited breath :)
 
The phrase "Baited Breath" always makes me think of a steamy romance novel.
 
Well, the server up times for this game have been something of a tease, so in retrospect, perhaps that phrase wasn't really that out of place. xD

Hannah stopped dead in her tracks. She gazed in silent wonder at the vision of statuesque splendor before her. He had a shock of jet-black hair and skin like glistening marble. A sleeve had been torn from his dark robes several skirmishes ago, revealing the lean musculature of his left arm. He held it out in front of him now; it coursed with lightning as he electrocuted the last escort of an ill-fated supply column, the remainder of which lay in ruins around him.

Aware of her presence, he turned as if in slow motion to lock his piercing green eyes with hers. A slight smile played on his lips as the unfortunate escort's own eyeballs exploded, the vitreous humor sparkling in the morning sunlight.

"Where are my manners? Normally I'd be more courteous to such a lovely woman. How may I be of assistance?"

Hannah's heart fluttered in her chest. He spoke to her! She struggled to find something to say in reply. "Is... is this cart headed to the southeastern fort?"

"It was," he said wryly, pacing casually closer to her. "But I was thinking we could take it back to ours."

"Of course," she breathed. "But it might be difficult, seeing as we're all alone out here."

"So we are. Perhaps you and I could... team up? Form an alliance of sorts?"

It was as though the Mists themselves had spread all her wildest hopes before her for the taking. "I think I'd like that very much. But can we really just approach the fort head-on? What if we're spotted?"

He chuckled. "Not a problem. I find a little risk gives the act some excitement. But I see your point. Perhaps if I brought it in from behind?"

"Oh my," she gasped, pressing two fingers demurely to her lips. "I usually don't do that on the first date."

"Really?" He leaned in, his eyes seeming to bore into her very spirit. "I thought you had a sense of adventure."

"Be gentle," she whispered. "I've never been with an asura before."

He smiled rakishly. "And I've never been with a norn."
 
hahaha, this is pure gold, the twist at the end was... jarring to say the least.

I would continue this merry adventure with hannah and her new friend, but you gave it such fantastic closure that it would seem unnecessary to add on. Fantastic work good sir :D .
 
I read this thread quickly when it had one post to it, I come back to it and we have Guild Wars Erotica. O.O

That's alright if it gets pretty filthy, most of Tristan's Jokes during live streams get pretty filthy and nobody minds those. Besides, you can start a new topic anyway. The point is that i love your writing style, it's descriptive, evocative, and in the context, makes things way more hilarious :) .
