GW2 8/2 Stress Test - Aftershocks?

I am still extremely excited to roll Mesmer. I played the Guardian for an hour of gametime in sPvP and while I did feel Powerful I felt like my Mesmer was just more to my playstyle for launch at least. I enjoyed all the additions to the Guardian however. But I am looking forward to all the timewarping and bending and speed and other fun

Definately, as previously stated, I loved the Engi class, but I was ready to give it up in BWE1 because I seemed to die all the time. It wasn't until I got some levels and put points into vitality that the class worked for me. I think you need to get to a minimum of L20 (first major trait) to get an feel for any class.

Agreed. And there should be no fear of falling behind friends/guildies with the sidekicking system, so I wouldn't be too concerned about not having your main nailed down 100% just yet.

Didn't try a mesmer as I had hoped, but I think I am still set on my engie as main.

I think you will be a cute Necro. The outfits fit you better. The heavy armor is not very RP inspired.

I was stuck on the server I played on the previous betas, which wasn't on the same server as the rest of the guild. I ended up not playing.. Le sad.

After finally playing I'm still sold on being a ranger. But after playing with all the races I was like a kid in a candy store! I'm torn now. I wish I had more time to dabble. But I doubt they'll do another stress test before release?

We can hope, but no one knows. I'd really like to spend a lot more time in character creation so that I can get that all set before release.

I was pretty certain that I'd play my Engy... but after getting a feel of that MM necro... I'm not sure anymore.

Maybe not even a Minion Master... Might do a Minion Bomber... because lord knows I loved that ability for the bone minions

I thought I would reinforce my inclination to roll thief or warrior, had fun on both as well as the necro. If anything stress test made my indecision even greater

I am dead set on guardian. Most fun class in the entire game I tell ya.

Testing only solidified my previous assumptions that I would be playing Warrior almost exclusively. I've always preferred melee, and without the trinity, I won't be forced into a tanking role as I was in other MMOs. What did surprise me though, was how much fun I had with the rifle, which totally goes against everything I thought I knew about MMOs. A warrior being both viable and fun as a ranged profession? Count me in!
