ALTTABME City - Membership List and Theorycraft

The more I see of it, the more I want to specialize in industry and infrastructure, like helping supply power and raw materials to the region.

I don't think anyone gonna play 24 7 but I want to make sure our city has an active building base. Aka on at least 3-5 times a week. Think that is reasonable. Thoughts?

Yeah, especially since we will be able to play on our own schedules without hurting the gameflow (if I understand asyncronous play correctly)

It also looked like from the demo that you could start a spot, get it going, and then invite a friend to take it over. That means that we could cover for each other if some one needed to cut way back on playtime. So the whole region wouldn't have to suffer as part of the infrastructure went to pot.

I'm in. I want to make a school based city. Somewhere inland, with some trees around it. I'll focus on low crime rates and good education. It will also incorporate a lot of commercial buildings due to the amount of youth in the city from school.
Darnit, you beat me to it! That's exactly what I had in mind as well, ^^

Back to the drawing board then...

I think 3-5 days a week is reasonable, but I am still gonna hold off. I just don't think I would do a very good job of managing a city after looking at the videos. Taking care of all those sims needs is overwhelming to me! Manage your own damn sewage people! LOL

I think the appeal is just hanging out with you guys... which I can do here on the forums and mumble. Oh well, at least I figured that out before destroying your village. :)

Handled Yo' Shit! FYI we knew this was going to be the response. Just we're waiting for you to figure it out. So bravo!

And when they realize that they can't all be astronauts, they can come slave away in my mines for minimum wage paid in company store currency!

Kissy, don't forget that it's just a game - and don't believe for one second that any of us will actually know what we're doing (my past experiences with SimCity games have resulted in me searching the internet for money cheats after less than half an hour of playtime).

Besides, if everything we did in the game went smoothly, it would be one heck of a boring experience; Brown growling at Keleynal to get his crime rate in check because it's starting to corrupt the college kids in Brown's region, while Tristan is looking for someone to blame for his waste problem - that's what's going to make this game fun, so by all means: Join us!
