ALTTABME Minecraft

Server was down for a bit due to me accidentally disabling the MC server instead of the mumble server. derp.

Hey Nahku, HMU via PM if you need any help with any of that stuff. I have a little experience in this area. Ran a bank of counterstrike servers for MANY years back in my CPL days. :p
 
after my kids wouldn't stop watching other people's minecraft videos, I finally tried out the demo... never had so much fun with such a cheesy looking game, lol I just want to really make sure, you just pay one fee and get to play forever? I will be buying 2 accounts, one for me and one for my kids if this is true, for now I'll check out the demo some more =P

Yep. Pay one fee for the software license and you can play all you like. No reoccurring fees.

That sounds good!

However, I'm having issues already, when I try to break things the pause menu keeps popping up interrupting what I'm doing, I don't know if maybe my stupid wireless mouse is messing up or what, I changed the battery and it's still doing it. I've hated this mouse since I got it, but they don't sell a wired trackball mouse anymore =/

EDIT 1: started playing guild wars and yeah, it's the mouse, it just quits working for like a second, just enough to interrupt things... not sure what to do haven't had this mouse more than 3 months

EDIT 2: Think I figured it out, something was interrupting the signal from the little thing you plug into your usb port to the mouse, so hopefully no more problems =)

Glad you got it worked out! What kind of trackball is it? I didnt think anyone used those anymore? LOL!

I know that feeling. It's so hard for me to find a replacement mouse or keyboard because they've changed so much over the years, and I like the older kinds! I've needed a new mouse for ages. The scroll wheel was broken, but the buttons still worked.. then a couple of weeks ago, it completely died and I'm stuck with this cheap replacement my parents had. It doesn't seem to have a middle button. :( That's my weapon swap binding! QQ

And as far as minecraft goes, I lose so much time in it. I was so busy building that I missed yesterday's Tixx event. :'(
 
I would do the same thing except on a server where somebody can appreciate my work and I can't find a server. lol
 
That wired one is a weird shape, I wouldn't even know how to use it, lol


As for Minecraft, if you create your own world, can you let others see it? Like if I get my kids an account will the be able to see my world I made or do you have to make a multiplayer world or something?
I'm assuming that's what the LAN feature is, but I'm not sure how it works.
 
Kinda....In order for you to be in the same world, you need to be in a mulitplayer game. To play a MP(Multi-player) game you need a server. If you have a "decent" computer or a kickaround spare, this works well for LAN situations like yours. However, you have to download a server package to set it up. Its not too hard if you know even a SMALL about about computers and there are some nice tutorials on Youtube.
 
Actually, I didn't have to do anything special, I logged onto my world that I made, hit open LAN, selected the options like cheats on or off and whether the people joining would be creative mode or survival or w/e and tada! they just picked multiplayer and selected my world to join me!

I like creating new worlds just to check out what's there, one world I found a temple right away, it ended up being booby trapped and totally surprised me with explosions, it was awesome.
