ALTTABME Minecraft

Yes, sorry.. it is down right now while I figure out what to do with it and attempt to try out manual mod additions. It'll likely be up tonight, and it's leaning towards pure vanilla 1.5.1 right now. :)

Yep! Keep it simple and see how the interest goes. Based off interest I'll consider renewing for another 6 months and we'll also look into doing some things like Hunger Games. Should be doing ground-breaking this evening around 6:00-7:00 EST. :D
 
I also had an idea to go along with the central town idea. NPC villagers will trade with you and use emeralds as currency. Now I know we can all have our separate homes and get all we need from the land of Minecraftia, but it might be cool if we had some sort of barter system too. I think that might be my first building for the town, a Barterhouse...in Barter town.....WHO RUNS BARTER TOWN?!? Ok now I need to go watch some Mad Max lol.

This would be good because we don't have IWIN power flower material generation anymore =P
 
just wondering does it take ages for you guys to load tekkit with that shpinx texture pack on? for some reason mine does.
 
I never used that pack but sometimes you have to set Java to use more memory or Minecraft will run slower with those sexier texture packs. It only utilizes a certain amount.
 
it works fine it just takes a while to load, hopefully. oh well, hopefully i will be on when you guys are so i can see how it runs in game
 
I can do vanilla. Once I was given the cheats for tekkit stuff, I got bored with it. I like to earn my stuff, not have it handed to me.... Plus now I'll do something more creative than my box.

Thats good, actually with you and T1G we could have a legit form of bartering. I know the NPCs use emeralds as currency.
 
We are now live! Vanilla 1.5.1. No Tekkit, no mods needed. Come punch some trees in this fresh new world. :happyhappyhappy:

I'll be attempting to stream for a bit at http://www.twitch.tv/nahku/ if anyone is interested in watching. Can't speak for the quality, etc., and will likely turn it off after a bit, I just wanted to test out OBS broadcasting software. :)

Equivalent Exchange is what's broken there. I see you guys have like 3 collector flowers. They are massive, unlimited free energy supplies, so of course it feels like god mode.

Try just IC2 with RedPower. Throw in Mo Creatures, and now you've got some rather powerful mobs to defend against. I enjoy going through the tech tree and building defenses against mobs, so that's why I like mods.

When I played on the group server, the only EE thing I ever used was the alchemical bags (and that was just because I kept changing where my base was). I limited myself on purpose that way. I still lost interest, because no one else was playing (and since I knew no one else was playing, I knew a server reset was inevitable).

Lately I've been playing a single player game with Ender Storage, Forestry (though I haven't used it much), Extra Biomes XL, Iron Chests, Red Power (I mostly wanted basalt and micro blocks- omg I love those), Twilight Forest, Rei's Minimap, and various smaller mods needed to make those run. Red Power seems to bloat my game with ores and items without adding much fun. It's a matter of opinion; I know. If I could get micro blocks without RP, I'd drop it in no time. I will admit that the gem tools are handy, but holy crap are my mines filled with so much ore. At a certain point, it stops being interesting and starts becoming a boring chore to mine it all. And like I said before- TOO MANY VOLCANOES. GEEZ.

And Mo' Creatures looks interesting, but for some reason I couldn't work it into my single player game. I forget why.

Holy shit we need to do a hunger games! We can live stream and record it. It would be even better with people who don't play much like Tristan.

You're more than welcome to run any client-side stuff you want. If you get Rei's mini-map working, please share how to do it! :) I'm personally running optifine in order to get SPhax BDCraft HD texture pack to work.

Also, I'll white-list you asap. I thought you were on there already, might have lost ya in the update since Ihad to redo the whitelist based off this thread and my PMs. =/
