ALTTABME Minecraft

Oh thank god... I appreciate it Zakis. Not having waypoints was causing me to get lost already, and I had barely left the starter area.. :alien6:

I have updated the original post with all the new information as well as with links to helpful items like Rei's and Forge.
 
You just beat me to it!

I got Rei's Minimap working, along with Inventory Tweaks and Optifine C4. I'm using MultiMC.
 
Hmm... My MC crashes while loading after I put in Forge. :( I did everything the right way, I wonder if it's having issues with optifine or my texture pack.. error is:

Not sure if it doesnt like Optifine. One problem I had installing forge was my .minecraft folder had a bunch of older .jar versions of minecraft. I deleted every .jar in there which made minecraft auto-update when you login again, then install forge.
 
People have been seeming to enjoy the reboot of Minecraft, so I have renewed the server for another 6 months. :alien3:

We talked about a lot of ideas tonight while playing and have some plans to incorporate more "events" to the server to keep it fresh. We're planning on doing some "OMG SO MANY MOBS" events, and some Hunger Games, and hopefully switching it up to try some Thaumcraft eventually as well. I'm also going to try to get some [TAB] officers approved to manage the server console in the event that server updates need to be made and I am not available.

We're always looking for more people to play. If you haven't played, try it out, minecraft is a lot of fun.. It's pretty much like a digital LEGO set.

So, yeah.. come play with us. We have cake... and pie. and lots of cows... (actually Zakis killed all but a few so we could have an awesome enchanting table, but they're gettin' on like bunnies so we'll have more steak soon.) :justdontknow:
 
That storm I mentioned yesterday evening before i disconnected knocked out my FIOS (net, phone, AND Tv). They can't even come out to look at it until tomorrow so ill be MIA for a bit. :(. #firstworldproblems

I know, right? An unwired weekend. It mainly consisted of grabbing some beers, grilling out a lot, and reading books on my back porch enjoying the nice weather... it was actually kinda nice.. *ponyerr:

Then I got my internet back and realized that this is better.


Though I'm going to read more, I've decided, that was enjoyable.
 
Internet still sketchy. PM me if you have any minecraft needs so I'll get it on my phone. Hopefully I'll be back to building soon, i was looking forward to heading out into the wilds to set up a fortress. =/
 
The server has been moved to a new and upgraded host. I didn't have any say in this, they're just upgrading all their servers I guess. New IP for host:

When are people on these days? I keep jumping on and there's new buildings but I haven't seen anyone in a bit... is it SORCERY?
 
Is Minecraft worth getting into if you're new to it? Or is it more of a "you should have been there right from the beginning" type of thing?

Its virtual legos Jia, its worth it regardless. It costs 21 bucks or so, and Corvus and I have been playing it on and off for years.

I think it's like 9.95 now. And Zakis hit the nail on the head, It's like a virtual Lego set, with logic and multi-player content. :p Defiantly a must buy, if you get bored easily and you like to build stuff

As others have said, it really is a good value. It's cheap enough that I don't feel bad playing it in phases. I'll get all into it for a while, then something (like this time, Neverwinter) will take up my time, then eventually I'll be back to building. It's one of those games that you can just "play when you feel like it" and feel like you got your money's worth. It can be terribly addicting. :)

Edit: and you can totally get into it if you wern't there for initial ground-breaking. The world is huge, and you can easily run off to your own area of it and play around with a fresh landscape.
