What's new

Borderlands 2

I was going to get it.... But then I decided not to. And since I'm not playing on launch day, it'll be harder to convince myself to buy it. I'll most likely not end up getting it at all =/

This is going to be tough to not play immediately, I loved the first Borderlands! I will definitely be playing eventually, just not in any hurry... Would like to wait for a steam sale on it, but I've got a couple friends that will likely want to start it up soon.. argh.

Meanwhile, THIS SHIT already dropped, already have BF3 premium so I paid for it... and I can't believe I haven't even played it yet...

Too many good games, not enough time.

I got to play Borderlands 2 for about 30 minutes before my grandparents decided to go to bed. Even with such a short period of time to play, it really felt familiar (considering the hours I poured into the original). My addiction to loot has resurfaced with a vengeance. I feel like this is what Diablo 3 should have felt like from the start. Point is, once I have my room back, I'm going to have a very difficult time deciding whether to visit Tyria or travel to Pandora. And don't even get me started on Battlefield 3 (I bought it when I built my new rig). I can sense my IRL productivity dropping already...

I leveled to 7 last night before i got tired. Very similar to bl1. in fact, the game engine seems to be all borderlands 1 with phys-x added and story/map layout changed.

Since you've spent some time with it, would you recommend getting it?
I heard that you absolutely need to play it in coop, else it just doesn't live up to its potential.

I played 2 player co-op. I figure i will spend as much or more time playing it than the original borderlands, and the stelath ninja is already super fun. Im going to continue playing it. I would just say if you liked bl1 you will like bl2.

You guys are in for a magical adventure full of guns and blood and more guns. I binged so hard last night on Borderlands 2. Must have played at least 8 hours on various characters with various friends or by myself.

Did anyone use the bug to get the 255 golden keys for tons and tons of insane weapons etc?

If so, dont worry, gearbox said no action will be taken against the bug users.

I loved Borderlands and Borderlands 2 is just a bigger, better version of the first. TotalBiscuit was right in that the game takes no risks and doesn't really innovate anywhere, but for now I don't care. If and when BL3 comes out, yeah, I'll be expecting something new but this game is still amazing. Borderlands 1 was a gamble, first of its kind, rough around the edges, all that jazz but BL2 is BL1 perfected. Story, menus, guns, quests, Pandora, everything is refined and just overall great.

And Ashly Burch, otherwise known as Ash from "Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin" does the voice for Tiny Tina, the greatest character in the entire game.

Ok so who has been playing lately? Work has been busy but is finally dying down(I hope) and I really dont have much urge to play too much Guild Wars 2. We should get a good 4 person co-op rolling with some fresh chars. My highest is a level 12 Siren(started the first one as Lilith so I had to continue the trend). The Mecromancer is out too.

If I could play more consistently, I'd be up for it. Sadly it doesn't look like my sporadic schedule is going to lighten up anytime soon. Also, I want to finally get my main up to 80 in GW2 and practice at Dota 2 because I just got in to the beta. Still, if I happen to be on and you need a temporary fourth, I'll see if I can jump in.

On the subject of Borderlands. Lilith Cosplay. -brucethumbsup-

So Bueller? I actually have part of this weekend off, and while I expect to jump back into GW2 I would like to start a nice 4 player co-op with new chars. Any takers?
