GW2 Building an Empire

It's actually a similar start to what I had, but a different process. I'll actually build a flow chart for my personal opinion of how I think it would be best. I'll actually do that now.

It would be helpful if you explained what the fuck the upgrades do btw. Like WTF is a guild workshop?

Lol, no. Honestly I have to find a program to just build one as this computer is new and I have zero programs like that. Personally, I'm against using an entire slot for 5% influence increase when, over the weekend, just the 5 of us earned only about 500 influence. spending 150 for 3 days of 5% increase only to earn 25 influence is just poor on both resources and the building slot. We would have to accumulate a minimum of 1000 influence in a day JUST to cover the cost of the 5% increase, never mind the time and slot.

Fuck it, I'll make a chart on the REAL efficiency, especially since we will be starting off relatively small.
 
I'll be honest, I don't do a lot of forum posting or image sharing. I don't know how to make it bigger, I don't know where else I should have saved the image. Forgive me for my ignorance, but that flow chart is hella detailed. This is also the first flow chart I have made online. I did the best I could. It should be easy enough to read.

From the looks of it, I like it, and ctrl + mousewheel in zooms my screen in so thats what I did to read it all. Is everything on here a limited duration upgrade, or are some of day amounts that are indicated showing how long it takes to upgrade? For example, Deep Case is listed as 7 days. Any idea if that means we have a week of extra bank slots and then we lose em after day 7, or it takes a week to build our bank bigger?

And I'd prefer the build wasn't spread out to other guilds. One of the advantages to this build is the economic gain achieved in the three day cycle system. If we gain that early, that increases EVERYONE in the guilds pocket change. I highly suggest people use salvaging kits to increase their crafting products supply, be it they use them, sell them, or donate them to the guild. Vendoring gear is NOT THE WAY TO GO. Yes, it does take a little bit of effort. If you want, mail me any gear you want and I will gladly pay you the vendor price of any items.

Second can you make a dumb version for me, aka the one where I follow it in steps so I kno wwtf I am doing when I get in game.

Step 2: Make Character
Step 3: etc etc
 
I could live without the plus 5% exp bonus in place of using the pvp influence or karma gain, it didn't seem that difficult to level up as it was and I saw that a few of you were mid 20s when I signed back on Sunday night. Of course, my single opinion on not really needing/using the bonus experience may not be the same as everyone elses general opinion. Good work on the flowchart, I approve! :)

Yeah, I agree 100%. Exp Bonuses should never be used IMO. I only added them because it exists. I'm more into the 5% Karma personally, because it affects everything and everyone will benefit at any given time. The other two options would primarily be for flair.

Since Three different Three Day Bonuses can be used in conjuncture with each other, while only utilizing one build slot on a cycle (1 day build time, 3 day lasting effects), I am partial to 10% Gathering, 10% Magic Find, and 5% Karma. That will be our pure economy bonus, and should be utilized 100% of the time once it is available.
 
I agree we can skip the exp bonus. It is a waste. Gear > than leveling up faster.
 
It will cost 7,500 influence and 1 week of building before we can afford the continual three day cycle, following the chart as is. I think if we all get into the guild asap, influence won't be an issue, especially the way some of us play. Once expanded a bit, I have a strong feeling we will be one of the earlier guilds to have the boosted economy and will flourish incredibly fast when it comes to income.
