GW2 Concerns/Questions about multi guild system

You can join as many as you want (not sure if server only specific server, or any guild on nay server) and you can only "Represent" one of them at the character select. By your selection, you have access to all the perks, chat capabilities, and you influence is given to only that one guild.
 
I am sure a lot of this info is out there somewhere but I am lazy and at work so I will ask the masses.

How does guild chat work when in multiple guilds? How often and is there a cost to swap the guild you represent? If there is no cooldown or cost should people be concerned about people mooching guild perks?

I am sure my ADD brain will think of more questions, but these are just a couple that popped into my head.
 
I am relatively sure you can change guilds on a whim, but may require a log-out to do so. No cost. I'll have to double check the guild tab on monday as I was randomly invited to other guilds in spawn areas. I'm sure there will be people switching specifically for boosts, but that also means you're adding influence only to that guild, increasing their rate of boosts. Sticking with one guild, supporting it with influence (even if you may not be 100% efficient at the start for small guilds) is really the way to go.
 
You have to repesent one specific guild in order to get one guilds perks. By representing it, you give them influence when you participate in anything. That's the "can not abuse" system.
 
You can switch as often and as much as you like. Think of it as opening a new tab on google and looking at that page vs the other one. Your attention is on the kitty video in tab 2 but the porn on tab one is still there whenever you want it.

You can also play on different servers so you can play with friends on a different home server from what I understand. BUT in WvWvW you represent the original server you created your character on.

Guesting services. You can see it on the "change realm" option at character select at the bottom. Disabled during BWE tho. Again, no cooldown or anything.
