I've wanted to do it for years, just... y'know, plan and then get lazy and then the conventions arrive. Now I'm 6 months out. I have time, especially if I get started sooner rather than later.

Other than PS4, my only other non-monthly budgeting is dumping cash into my student loans. At the moment, I have the cash. And if I play games a little less, I have the time. Just need the skill.
Like I mentioned before, a friend of mine does commissioned cosplay outfits, if you want her number let me know and I'll get in contact with her and then pass along the info.
Its become clear to me after visiting Comic-Con that there are so many things I would love to cosplay. The biker scout is an expensive endeavor that is still on my list, but realistically a ways off. I have begun to focus on Battlestar Galactica in the short term. Putting together a flight suit from the new series is an awesome idea but I am focusing on the general BDUs. I might put together the green BDU jacket but I am pretty much going to rock it like most of the crew on board, just like this:
Double tank/dogtags, BDU pants and utility belt with officer's/pilot's sidearm. I have great places to get awesome quality belt replica and dogtags. I just need to figure out the sidearm. Best kit I have seen is this one piece resin, I figure I would paint it myself.
