I blame my girlfriend for my large drop-off in activity.
Soon I can start blaming work again.
Everything is fine for me, but I am always annoyed when we have to make more and more accounts to do what was pretty simple and easy on the website.

That's the thing, we have always been a community that iterates and works on making the entire experience the easiest possible.
That requires trial and error. This time we got it pretty good.
Discord does not require an email to login. You canlogin just like Mumble, but it has the benefit of awesome chat that works with mobile devices, alerts, and a desktop app. It is an all in one that actually works rather well.
When the API is released we will work on linking usernames and passwords.
Glad these things are coming up it allows us to explain what may be glossed over in the description of what it is.
